I have seen other people’s dissatisfaction with the current situation of P63A, but perhaps there are other ways.
Honestly, Soviet did not lack low BR premium aircraft, on the contrary, it needed high BR.
So my suggestion is to improve the existing P63A to keep it in BR4, rather than lowering it to BR3, especially when the Soviet BR3 was already powerful enough.
Firstly, P63A need an improvement to the 37mm shell. Currently, only AP shells are used in the game, which have a penetration of only 34mm at 100m. Considering that the actual firing distance is longer and the firing angle is not vertical, it is almost ineffective against tanks.
So it’s better to replace AP shells with HEFI shells, so that the 37mm gun can better deal with enemy aircraft or targets lacking armor protection.
Secondly, give it two 250kg bombs(Three will be too OP)

Well the plane at BR IV is more of a ground attacker then a good fighter but im not sure will more bombs save it. Its more likely to turn it in to ground attacker.
Different aircraft have different battlefield roles.
I185 is a fighter, but it also carries two 250kg bombs, P51D in BR3 also carries two 500lb bombs.
The aerial combat performance of an aircraft is fixed and almost unchangeable. If you want to change one’s situation, you can only start with BR/ammunition type/loadout.
And the Soviet BR3 was also a bloated BR, even widely regarded as OP… I mean, the P63A itself can be lowered to BR3, but if you look at it from a higher perspective, the Soviet BR3 did not lack such a comprehensive aircraft. The P40E and Yak9k were both very competitive, and lowering P63A to BR3 may make the Soviet BR3 even more OP.
Well the problem is Jets powercreeped BR IV and BR V and there is no reason to use other fighters really. Its like Putting King Tiger vs KV 1. And the good props that are BR V are like Firefly against King Tiger. And there is really not much power creep in BR IV and BR III since there is not many planes there.
Is a BR II fighter that is better then many BR III fighters when it comes to bomb load just like the IAR but BR III and BR IV fighters are given miserable bombloads and only select few feel like real BR III fighters and BR IV fighters are non existent
Yak9K will be completable since it has high velocity cannon that is 45 mm with better velocity then the 37 mm. Not only the 45 mm cannon have better pen but it has higher velocity so its better against planes and tanks. Also it lacks the P40 and P63 problem that is similar to the FW but its good that they are not so badly affected by it like the FW. Yak 9 K can even kill king tigers with its cannon people really dont understand how good is the 45 mm cannon.
