Title, the OG-42 paras are incredibly gimmicky, relying on their Flamethrowers in the box in-order to get work done on the zones but… outside that? they are pretty outgunned by every other para at that BR range
I believe they should at minimum be provided with the 40 round magazines people were asking for them at the start, and if need be at the cost of losing 3 of the flamers they get from the box
The devs can’t really disagree with this one since they claim to care so much about balance so they’ll have to accept this one.

If you honestly believe that then the same should apply to Normandy allied paratroopers and they should not be allowed to drop with 6 squad support weapons and they should probably get it from the box and have something else instead of having that as their landing weapons.

Are you trying to equate retarded recoil MGs to flamethrowers which remove your ability to counterplay?
They have limited ammo and you cannot get 6 squad support weapons from the supply crates and with the German paratroopers you only can get 3 squad support weapons.
The odd thing about this change is that the Squad got nerfed for its box but the new soviet paras will be able to got to BR1 even with the box if you can trust their marketing.
40 round mags and flamers? Hell no. They can get the 30 round mags at most
with 40 rounds, Og-43 becomes a copy of Beretta38/43 aka the gun they just moved to BR3 because it have no place against PPSh.
Devs can delete flamethrowers from Folgore if it means there’ll be 1 counter squad to 2 downtiered soviet paras and 2 low-BR allied paras.
But you cant use them at the same time. You use the gun OR the flamer but not both at the same time.
Nerfing the base gun just makes the squad even MORE dependent on the flamer as it will be the only viable option left.

Hence why the suggestion is to remove half of the flamers(bringing it to 3 instead of 6) which could warrant buffing the magazine, which would essentially just turn the OG into a Beretta M1

My bad, I didn’t see that part. In that case it’s fine. I just think people underestimate how good the OG can be, it’s just limited by its small mag.
Personally, I’d rather see the paras stay in T3 how they are. It’s nice to have at least 1 low tier para squad, and it seems only allies will now?

Their entire kit is BR 3…even flamers are br 3 (this would be why they were moved though)
And then there is the point that these were the only low tier axis paratroopers while allies have 2, and soviets 1
To be fair the AS-44 doesn’t ruin the atmosphere. It’s a late war prototype gun in the late war final battle. Many prototype weapons did have little trials at that time so they at least fit in
Italian Paratroopers in Normandy are worse for the atmosphere
BR changes just nerfed European Axis and buffed the shit out allies.
Thompson vs Mp40, Thompson has far better damage, not even contest.
VG1-5 should have had its reload speed nerfed and kept at BR2 cause M1 Carbine, but I guess that would have been too logical.
Kv-1 going to BR3 is a joke, Axis has nothing BR3 that would be similarly close to heavy tank role.
All aircraft chnage was completely unnecessary.
The only serious improvement was PzIV J on BR3 which kinda makes the PzIV G pointless, but whatever just another FA pack scam.
OG-43 on BR4 made me lose it, that is a BR1 toy gun. The squad is useless without paratrooper box.
