To make dog fights in the sky more interesting have an AI plane following you around so when your main plane dies another one still there so you can continue to fight.
And I do not think this should apply to bomber planes but it should apply to attacker planes.
And anyone’s free to expand upon this or improve this and remember steam is in the future so we need to make this game more interesting.
I don’t agree with this idea, but it did make me think about how planes generally operated as squadrons. Imagine if just like soldiers we had an entire squad of planes. Or just AI planes in general. It’s definitely interesting lol
But anyway I think if they were to increase map and team size then we would have more vehicles running around. If they doubled everything we could have 12 infantry, 4 vehicles, and 4 planes. Or so on and so fourth.
We could use some bigger squads to simulate the concept of an overwhelming invasion And the attacker aircraft I can understand But not the bomber aircraft not gonna happen this community suicide bombs so that’s just begging for trouble.
The idea of this is to give you an an extra aircraft so you could continue to fight instead of losing it and then having to cycle for your squads to get aircraft again.
Plane fight are just for fast exp and chilling in the game…
Until you get boom and zoom by a guy you didn’t even hear or see and now it become personal.

I think the issue is planes aren’t really popular in the game. The only campaign that will consistently have planes is Normandy because I’m positive it is the de facto most popular and populated campaign. Not to mention that for the majority of people D Day is literally the only thing they think of when they think of WW2
The other issue is the relatively small scope of this game. During a match at most you’ll have 6 infantry, 2 tanks, and 2 planes. Sometimes as a fighter there isn’t really a lot to do. When I play as fighters I try to get into my role and I just fly around scanning for enemies to engage, but a lot of times I’ll literally just be the only thing in the sky.
On the other hand it has made me focus a lot on ground support. Of coarse a decent amount of fighters have bombs so you can support the ground one way or the other. With the fighters that don’t have bombs or anything I’ve resorted to strafing the ground when there aren’t a lot of targets in the sky
Increasing the map and team sizes could help increase the amount of plane use.
Another thing that would help increase plane use is giving them more things to do. Obviously Bombing runs are a good job for fighters. I’ve suggested more Radio call ins that enemy fighters could counter for the game dynamics. Recon planes, Supply Drops, different types of bombing runs. If they made Paratroopers take a little bit longer to spawn it could also give times for enemy fighters to counter them. Heck maybe they could make Artillery take a little bit longer to use, where the actual Artillery piece will spawn somewhere off map and there is a little time before it fires so the enemy plane could fight it

Kamikaze squdrons.
The very fact of using this tactic is impaired. From now on, even if you are even more handicapped, so that you can not perform it properly, you have another chance to be a dick xd
This is the guy who says the T-34 is op and alongside some other players think that future equipment like the Pz4F2 was necessary.
But the P-47 isn’t a reasonable unlock to counter the Tiger that is imune to early allied planes now with the M8 nerf, very resilient to the engineer AT Gun and completely hopeless to fight against with any of the early allied tanks with not even a turret as weakspot to shoot at.
