HELP the flamethrowers

Either downtier them or buff the range (and shooting speed).
They are such a bummer to use, very dissapointing, so easily countered by smgs which are the bread and butter until br5, and the bots are programmed to focus flametroopers.
Also, upgrading their squads is another bummer, cuz you guys made it super hard with the level requirements for some reason.

genuinely any automatic can just fire right into the br 3 flamethowres stream and kill you as the direct damage isbeen weakned

Massive slow down penalty when firing up the flamethrowers also should be mitigated or gone as this makes the flametrooper sitting duck thus very easy to shoot back and kill flametrooper WHILE getting flame streams to the face.

increasing the range of the flamethrower and increase the time of the flame before it extinguish itself should be enough

Personally think flamethrowers should be massively buffed but then limited to 1 per flamer squad instead of 2

This is not feasible as we have the premium flametrooper squads with 4 flamers in the squad. So the flamethrowers getting buffed to the point where it’s not considered shitty would be just enough.

How about tt flame squad only?

This might works but then again we will have flamethrowers with so many arbitrary stats that are working differently that might be too messy, i dunno.

How about adding a weakness after giving a buff to its range and flame burning time to balance flame trooper.

The weakness will be that if the gas tank behind the user get shot, the tank exploded and burns anyone 3-5 radius from the gas tank?

This is a movie thing, WW2 flamethrowers fuel tank didn’t cause a fiery explosion when get shot by small arms fire and as for adding this feature for the game balance allowance, i dunno honestly i don’t like this idea that much.
