Has anyone else thought about how the new system will devastate the Japanese faction?

And every map in Enlisted is D-Day? You are using one of the longest combat distant map as example lol.
Only few map will have opportunity to do this so I say this is rare.

Not that hard LoL. I am using panzerwerfer as example but it still has less explosive than chi ha short gun.

Not against Jumbo but I am testing its accuracy.

only thing that is inflexible is your way of thinking. currently we have 6 (or 8 by the end of the year) queues that constantly must be active whether it is peak hours or off peak. new MM can give you flexibility to populate game with human players and give equipment balance in match. when there is low number of players rating limitation gets released and you get lower number of MM queues and when there is high number of players MM gets stricter and increases number of MM queues.
here is some napkin math: so if there are 60 players waiting for game across 6 queues they will be matched 5v5 in every campaign with old system. with new system we can get those 60 players matched in 10v10 across 3 campaigns (when MM releases restriction on BR cause of longer wait time).
if there are 600 players waiting for the game in old system you will get 30 imbalanced matches across 6 campaigns. in new system you will 30 balanced matches cause BR has enough players to match players by equipment.

What if most people still queue as Axis and rarely as Western Allies? Yeah Solved imbalance issues in Normandy and ridiculous ticket rate in Tunisia. GL for Italy/ Affica finding matches I guess
What if one out of three has most players and especially if it isnt Axis?

btw i dont think that there should be problem with italy/africa. simply they could add similarly rated german squads cause germans were present there. it will be italy+germany vs british/US in africa. as long you go into battle with one of those nations i dont see a problem in MM.

i am not saying that all problems will magically go away, but drastic overpopulation of one side will be nerfed to a point. there needs to be different measures implemented for perfect MM balance. and that wont be solved by this update

Historically, Japan did have to encounter Sherman… I’m just not sure about Jumbo (I said that in jest).

But even the regular, first version of the Sherman would spell doom for the actual Japanese forces… if it weren’t for their very good AT bomber weapons.

Problem with next matchmaking is that if Japanese was vastly inferior with tanks, it made do with superb air force…

That will no longer be the case vs Spitfire, or hurricane, or any Normandy plane

There’s a lot of variables to take into account. It’s a good thing you take time to read players concerns and relay to devs.

So what does it do then?
It doesnt give Soviets in SG and Moscow really more Axis players, it doesnt solve Tunisia and Asia and not bring back Western Allied players, at least theoretically.
Rn it feels like it only helps Berlin Soviets because now they also get Axis Normandy as long as they dont queue with an IS-2.

Its at best a tool to ease the pain but not heal it and looking at its feedback, its a 50/50 pain killer and source for more/ harder pain.

it does multiple things… it fixes equipment balance, it gives more human players per match specially in off peak hours, unifies playerbase for MM independent of number of campaigns (in the long run it is better and more efficient), mitigates overpopulation on some sides/campaigns.

also new progression removes repeated grind and combination of progression and MM gives chance for minor nations to participate in major campaigns (along with its axis or allies counterparts)

biggest problem in MM is inability to make games completely historically accurate cause higher rating is not equivalent of newer weapon. and while it cant be completely historically accurate, if campaigns implement limitations on max vehicle rating and max infantry weapon rating it can be decently accurate (probably over 90% accurate, maybe even over 95% accurate).

and i have concerns about MM cause idk how exactly they will implement it and level of complexity it will bring. they could easily f**k it up and MM could end up worse. usually these kind of algorithms are mathematically modeled and accounted for certain number of players (unlike current MM that is simply a queue and was made in 10 minutes by some lazy programmer :stuck_out_tongue: ). considering they have previous data, they could easily simulate potential MM and fine tune it. and also i have big concern that i am projecting too much of my expectations of MM algorithm vs what they will actually do.

Not really. Normandy still wont work, Japan still wont work, nobody really plays Moscow anyway, few tops Allies there will play SG and SG is bascially same tanks and still wont really work.

I think we already made it clear that it wont except in Berlin and Normandy Axis.

You could also just gib us minor nation squads and weapons as… it is the case in Tunisia and weapons already exist in SG and Normandy.

Not really since VS gear or M5 against outdated Italian tanks would like to talk about that… if people even bother to spawn them.

it fixes it cause it wont be stuart vs tiger anymore. idk about edge cases (when someone takes e.g. tiger and 3 squads of kar98k), but if someone equipped springfield and stuart they would end up vs kar98k and pumas. that is balanced. and if someone takes stg44 and tiger they will end up vs 76 sherman and thompsons. is that perfectly balanced? no. but it is definitely better/more balanced situation than what we have now.

no we havent. overpopulated sides will share pool for distribution across other campaigns. so even if there is 5 or 10% increase in human population in battles it will be meaningful. i dont expect this measure to give me full human vs human matches, i only expect it to give us more humans in a match. full human balance must be tackled by other solutions

they cant fit in current campaigns unless they are premium squads. and people might want more minor nations squads.

also you cant do shit against italians having shitty tanks. dangers of playing ā€œminorā€ nation :stuck_out_tongue: btw ethiopians with spears would have advantage over italians in ww2
btw we could always time travel few tanks they received from germany in may of 1943 (pz. 3n, pz. 4g and stug 3g ) to africa… maybe it would save them.

I’m not worried about tanks at all, they’ll just get the Pershing and immediately be equalized with the Tiger II. I’m worried about trying to compete against the FG-42 II with an M2 Carbine
