Has anyone else thought about how the new system will devastate the Japanese faction?

The Japanese side already had issues contending with the SPAA halftrack of the US. With what I understand of the new system, does this mean they now have to fight Normandy grade equipment too? How on earth are they even going to have a remote chance against them?

The AA halftrack has issues in part because of the way its molded

It absorbs tons of Hits from Japanese tank Guns and keeps on Trucking.

The 50 call’s are over molded/over preforming.

But your point on the whole is well taken, they must implement some kind of Map restrictions for the sake of play Balance, and one would hope historical immersion, for all the maps.

pacific is specific and we still wait for info about it from devs in Q&A. but japanese should be matched against low-mid tiered US equipment

Personally, I’m not worried about historical accuracy. My ONLY concerns are for game balance. Which nothing the Japanese have other than AT mines can really stand up to something like a Jumbo. The Ni05s could get a MASSIVE buff I suppose, but even that is questionable.

This new system will also probably negatively impact the player count for the Japanese faction as they will have the fewest maps to play on out of all of the factions. Why play the content of 1 campaign when you can play any other faction and have at least 3?

Ya for me personally I am very worried about the feel of the game if its Zero immersion factor, that the lack of any kind of historical context would bring.

This is actually effecting my enthusiasm for playing the game now, even before its changed.

True, is something already pointed out even by keo in the news article that some faction got restricted in specific map and so italian are the same only tunisia

This open two way

1st keep thing restricted like this for the sake of historically accuracy

2nd make matchmaking allies vs axis all allies faction can play aganaist all axis faction withaut map restrictions, i mean Emperor will on normandy beach :sunglasses:

That one, you can easily kill with rife? Or even pistol? And even with HE grenade?

No, I think highest japs BR would be enough only to encounter first levels of Normandy equipment (which is the same for Pacific).

If they already make faction restricted, why not just keep the campaign restriction?

factions are restricted to at least some semblance of historical accuracy… so pacific will only be japan vs us and western/southern fronts will be germany+allies vs western allies and eastern front will be germany+allies vs sssr. unless you want japanese to defend beaches of normandy…

and for why not keep campaign restriction? simply cause it gives them flexibility to add new campaigns without overstraining MM. so they can add infinite amount of campaigns and MM will remain the same.

I’d like that.

Never asked to combine campaigns, just tech trees.

From what I see up to now, no one likes grinding mp40 5x. But not many would like the melting pot of campaign either (I think it’s the history accuracy guys)

I’d just keep campaigns as is, with a common tech tree.

But that’s just me.

The fact that Japan and Italy are already limited, makes me question the flexibility. I also dont know how flexible you gonna be since you now have just one setup for like how many campaigns, time periods etc.?
Just make better campaigns.

Still not good enough against Jumbo.

Japan is also about to get Churchilled, Crusaded, Matilda’d and Firelfied.

10/10 Guadalcanal experience.

Or just make the game totally casual axis vs allaies no faction or map restrictions and wo care of is2 in moscow, is a videogame
