So no, within this context, this box doesn’t change a thing. You’ve always been able to buy event stuff with gold.
As I have already said many times. You should either pay with your money or your time. That’s literally how majority of f2p games works.

So now, we spend money for gold and instead of having a 0.00009% chance of winning a squad with the mystery silver box, we have a 1.00009% chance with the gold box? 
The slightly better odds are what the Dev’s should be giving people with the silver 
IMOP, this just looks like a nice way for Gaijin to milk it’s players out of money.

Hmmm why are you saying that? It says that chance for a squad is 12%. For silver boxes it’s 1%. Are you saying that these number are fake? But that would give them legal problems (that would be fraud), so I doubt that.

I’m being sarcastic as to be honest, the odds they give you still suck since you’re paying money for the gold. They should give you the same better odds and let you pay for it with silver.
Let us pay for the squads which gives us 100% return on our gold.
