Sorry for asking such a stupid question, but where can I buy the gold chest because I can’t find it in the shop?

Welcome to the community!

Not released yet. There was a delay while they tweak them. There will be an announcement prior to their release.

Hopefully by that, never.

Hopefully they announce that it will not return and won’t be released

The idea that this is now gambling for money, and expensive at that, for random items…especially trying to BAIT people for even more body armour is infuriating…why doesn’t Gaijin just LISTEN to the player base and return the store so people can actually buy what they want…you are STILL making money!

Guys and gals, I’ve made a suggestion on preventing the gold chests
Don’t add the Golden Gambling Boxs

The short story is as such:
This greatcoat was (and still is) advertised as main uniform for ‘MG 42 early’ premium squad. ( screen from Gaijin store)

It used to be the default uniform of said squad in most campaigns.

Later, in some campaigns this was changed to similar versions, but it was still possible to buy it back. Costed some customization orders, but hey, more options!

Now comes this little major’s update Operation Neptune.

This greatcoat is now only available for real money via Enlisted gold
al 42e
Even for premium squad that was (and still is!) being advertised with it, players now have to spend real money to get their default greatcoats, as otherwise it’s only available in Moscow, where they can’t even deploy at, being a BR 4 squad.

Options on other campaigns were limited as well, only 1 default unique piece stays where you could buy the other one

Only 1440 additional gold to use what you bought in the first place!
On 2 campaigns out of 4 possible for this BR 4 squad.

Other squads were affected by this too, like AT 44 event squad

This version of unique uniform no longer available to purchase in Stalingrad maps for said squad,

But now made available for real money only for others.

And there’s the case of soviet APC squads capes - originally available in 4 options both in Moscow and Stalingrad

They were since removed without trace or excuse

And now made available instead on PPD 1944 premium squad in Moscow and Stalingrad

All despite being advertised for event Universal Carrier squad
no capes

This just from my limited selection of premium and event squads, there most likely many more cases like this.

Just buy it all back via Fool Gold Chests, no biggie (and then just buy each peace for each soldier in each campaign separately, no problem).

Welcome to charming new Enlisted by Gaijin, please enjoy your stay while you still can!

That’s actually bug.

I’m ok to buy a premium squad wich I will never use ( because I don’t Wana play that BR or I dislike the gun) only if I’ve the opportunity to equip my others squads (with regular apparence orders) with those specials outfits.
This gambling system is a shame .

I’m aware. The British Army, in WW2 and otherwise, was not made up exclusively of men from the British Isles. I never argued that it was.

That is true of No. 10 Commando, but the squad in game is No. 1 Commando. As far as I’m aware, No. 1 Commando was not an inter-Allied unit, and the surviving volunteer lists do not suggest a Norwegian connection.

Right, which is exactly my point. If the squad is No. 1 Commando, and is “through and through British”, then it should not be using Norwegian insignia at all, nor should the soldiers be changed to speaking Norwegian because of these wrong badges.

I wouldn’t call it “wrong”, it’s just that Commando formations did not have the same “branding” as was generally kept by other larger sizes of units (such as Regiments and Divisions, as the pattern we see in game).

I don’t really object to the Combined Operations patch. Commando units did not have the same kind of long-standing regimental branding that many British and Commonwealth units had, so the CO patch is probably one of the better choices available for representing them in game.

That is different from putting Norwegian badges on a British Commando squad, though. The CO patch is broad, but still relevant. The Norwegian badges imply a nationality or unit identity that does not to fit No. 1 Commando. At all.

I just think removing the badges, or preferably letting players choose berets without badges, would be a much simpler solution than trying to turn the squad into a Norwegian one. Making it Norwegian would require recording new voices (for a one-off afterthought squad, which the devs have already made their money on), renaming the squad (just adding a 0, tbf), and a different presentation overall (persumably new cosmetics to fit with the “Norwegian” vibe).

That would also be a strange change for people who bought the squad because it was a British Commando squad with a unique weapon - not a Norwegian one. I doubt many (if any) people bought it specifically because of the Norwegian badge on the berets. It seems to me that the badges were added by mistake by the developers, we’re talking about the same guys who added a Fallschirmjäger squad with Heer uniforms after all.

Personally, I think the best fix would be to add plain - as in, no badges or patches - green and maroon berets to the regular cosmetic options. That way, people who care about the issue can correct it themselves, and we all also get some useful general British/Commonwealth cosmetics for other squads at the same time (SAS squad with maroon berets in Europe is a big one).

Event items shouldn’t be in the gold chest but in the normal silver chest, bc that’s the chest you’re likely to get squads and it’s original intention with it, also event cosmetics should slightly cost more cosmetic tickets than what we have now for all clothing, non event clothing will keep costing gold but the event item should be used with tickets, because putting ya know, non premium cosmetics behind a premium wall is stupid.

I made a suggestion on it

I remember they took down my post mocking them a while back. I said soon you be able to take any squad from any nations equipment into battle. Where not too far off now. With time I am always right.
