They are testing weapons for the upcoming Tunisia campaign so the Normandy campaign is kind of in a weird state atm. For example I got 2 bren guns that where not used by the US army on my LMG Battalion.
Just give it some time and it will go back to normal.
Only if they limit it more
In the Playtest, MP-43 had no recoil, dealt a lot of dmg, was fully automatic and you had the ability to arm every soldier class with it (including mortar class)
As long as the Allies also have these limits, I’m fine with that.

Mortar crew had it too. And maybe engineers, but I’m not 100% sure about them.

( as we still have the assaulters ).

Yeah, as standard they had Kar98s, but I remember that i moved my MP43 to some other squad than mortar (and I didn’t use assaulters).
I just hope it will not be another FG 42
from what i can remember, the majority of weapons were randomic to be honest.
and some of them are still the one from the first test.
like, now more class have acess to the g43.
perhaps the stg has been taken out due to performance, and incoming tweaks about it.

Mortarmen and Radiomen had the ability to use it. I have a friend who managed to move the gun in the storage section and he could give that gun to pretty much anyone

Yeah, every trooper can wield standard FG42. FG42 II is for snipers

I’m scared of how this game will be when everyone has FGs. Honestly I’m already scared of how it will be when everyone has semi autos. Sounds like the game will be diseased with damage and whoever moves dies

There was a glitch
But Mortarmen came armed with StG and Mortar which were 2 best and most overpowered weapons in the game…being held by a single soldier
I really don’t know why devs decided to give an StG-44 to a Mortarman
