Currently 2- 3 players can spawn at once at the beginning of a match and attack the objective from behind, and in a few days there will be even more paratroopers !!!
This makes defence very hard, because they can reach the objective even before the defending team can set up their first rallies.
My suggestion is:
Paratroopers cannot be used in the first minute of the match.
Transport aircraft needs some time (10- 15 sec.) to reach the destination.
(EDITED !!!) Or at least limit paratroopers to 2 active squads per team.
This will allow to counter the paratroopers with fighter and bomber planes.
At the very start is the worst time for paras to drop on point. the defenders have a large force already on the point and a large wave approaching it (if its not a bot game) As people get more used to paras, that will be a quick way for attackers to waste tickets.
Even now i enjoy popping them in their chutes, or throwing a grenade on their crate as they land. Free secondary weapon.
I agree. Since they are more powerful than the average squad, there should be some sort of delay.
This is unnecessary, since it will have no impact. They made be delayed for the first cap, but none after that.
Bombers and planes have a delay because everyone is grouped up at the beginning, and said planes can reliably take out the entire team in seconds, something paratroopers cannot do.
Now enemy paratroopers cannot be marked exactly. And even my teammates noticed them, defenders are unable to react to them ASAP. This gives paratroopers great edge on assualting the cap.
So my suggestion is that both sides could mark enemy paratroopers using “V”. Not everyone, just lightening the supply box is enough.
Currently they are infrequent enough that most people don’t set out to countering them. When more people are waiting for them on the ground with a flamethrower I don’t think it will be much of a problem.
The idea of paratroops is to be “an elite trooper, a shock trooper a spear head trooper” that “blaze the way to far flung goals behind, before, above the foes front line.”
Fun fact, We even say that and more in our airborne creed at the graduation of us army jump school…at least when I went through it.
I am not sympathetic to players that are overwhelmed at the pace and aggressive tactics that paratroopers offer. That just means the mechanic is working as it is intended.
That said I don’t want them to be spammed it should be treated like tanks I think only a few players at a time should be filling the role….it was and is a job that not everyone can or would do so it’s a tad exclusive.
and all would be good if they didnt instantly appear above battlefield before jump. enemy should have an opportunity to counter them before they appear above them.
