I finally got my hands on the new even squad with the Mosin M91/30 Zuckerman rifles. And I must say the animation work is exquisite. The way the bolting looks and feels, the fact that the hammer is actually animated (though a bit bugged when using the grenade cup), and the way you use the bottle launcher. This is the most realistic a rifle grenade launcher has been in this game so far, because your character actually loads a blank, and even ejects it if you remove the cup without shooting.
The only part that may be negative would be the fact that for some reason it uses round nose bullets rather than spitzers, but that’s a very minor detail imo.
So I just want to say:
Great work animators and programmers for this treat!
But to bring it around to the actual suggestion. It would be really amazing if the old Mosins were given these animations, grenade launcher variants included, because they looks so good and the old ones look so stilted in comparison. I’m thinking since the devs did reanimate the Johnson MG when they added an event variant, why not do it to these as well.
(Then there’s the FG 42’s that really should have the event version’s animations but that’s a different topic)
