Mp717
Mp41(r)
The mp717 is good as is but would perform even better if the rpm from the mp41(r) was ported over to the 717. And the mp41’s sound when being fired would fit the mp717 to sound a lot more crisp too

The MP41r was chambered for 9mm Parabellum, and not 7.63 Mauser, so that had an effect of the cyclic rate of the gun, but in real life from the searches I’ve done, it looked like it was somewhere from 700-800 RPM, though I could be wrong. The MP 717r also is an early pattern PPSH 41, which also had around a 900 RPM rate of fire. I wouldn’t mind a captured late pattern PPSH though.
Might be better to make a seperate suggestion for that, but sure
Although the model (except the magazine) is identical the guns are different versions of the ppsh41. The mp717r is a early pattern with low rpm and the mp41r I’m assuming is a later pattern with the higher rpm (because it never explicitly states it’s a early pattern).
Ah ok that’s a fair point then. Thought it’d have the generic 1150/1240 rpm like how the Russian Ppsh’s would typically have since I thought the mp717’s were basically captured ppsh’s that weren’t rechambered
Captured PPSH in game uses 7.63 Mauser, while Soviets used their own more powerful copy of that round - 7.62 TT.
Because both bullets are similar both can be used in a PPSH, though since the Mauser round has less powder behind it, the velocity and cyclic rate would be lower.
MP41r however was a rechambering kit, so that it could feed with 9mm rounds and even take MP40 magazines.
Well, since I have ZERO MP-717r’s, and only ONE MP-41r, I just can’t get concerned about it.
So, I shall refrain any judgement on these weapons. ![]()
Damn, so you missed out unfortunately. I luckily stocked up on them before the merge. I have about 50 or 60 of the mannlicher m93’s, 19 mp717’s and about 15 Russian m21/28’s. One more pro about the mp717’s is they can be replenished through Russian ammo crates too.

I played about 400 games before the merge, but didn’t buy anything for about a year after the merge, so I got basically nothing pre merge. NTM I was stupid enough to sell off all my pre merge squads for some paltry silver. ![]()
Most complaints about it being weaker than Soviet PPSH are irrelevant - both are zero recoil 3 hit SMGs with drums and rapid fire.
You aren’t missing out on it, STG and Kiraly are all you need anyways.
No, they fire completely different cartridges which affect the cyclic rate
technically the Conders MG is a better SMG at BR5 than the MP717 anyway
Yeah someone else said that earlier, it’s just I thought the 717 fired the same ammo for the ppSh, mainly because I recognized you could replenish from Russian ammo crates with it. At first I thought it was the same ppSh’s captured from the Russians but now I understand those fire 7.63 Mauser.
I did buy the Kiraly Parachute squad not too long ago, and all three of my German sniper squads carry scopeless StG’s. ![]()
