The M2 Carbine is the only tech tree br5 full auto rifle not have have an upgradeable ROF. It sits at 750 ROF.
Considering the average TTK of meta br5 weapons, and m2 needs two shots to kill, a ROF increase will only benefit it.
It’s standard practice in this game to put the historical ROF as default value, and increase it through upgrades.
+10% ROF like any other battle rifle. It’s about time.
I like it how it is, higher rof generally means worse handling, plus it has an HA accurate Rof.No biggie if it were a small increase but if it were like the M1941 Johnson LMG with a much higher rof (990 in game vs 550 rpm IRL) than the real one then no not at all.
It’s a small increase. Also it’s consensus among the competitive side of enlisted that vertical recoil is not too big of an issue. The m2 carbine has decent horizontal recoil. For what it is, the biggest buff to it is TTK. You can still easily hose ppl down full auto at range.
I would be fine with a small increase as long as the Dev’s didn’t destroy the recoil value as a trade off . To be honest, it wouldn’t bother me if the Dev’s instead nerfed all the other BR5 semi auto’s rate of fire’s down as opposed to continuing to raise rate of fire values.
