Hello people of the Forum, i come to ask you guys ur sincere opnion, after the buff of the G41 i noticed something, Germany and Japan are the only ones with a BR3 rifle that is the most slow reload of all without alternatives such as the US.
i propose we move the G43 to BR3, whys that? the G43 offers no more significant advantage or anything at this point to be BR4, the ZH-29 is the best BR4 rifle for Germany without any doubt, the G43 has a similar reload to the M1 Garand with only 0.6 difference if i remember correct (i might be wrong) so the stats are very similar.
apart from that its the same as the G41, damage, accuracy, everything, the Soviets has the SVT-38 at BR3 which is basically an cheaper SVT-40 cuz the differences to upgrade are minimium and you can probrably bring an SVT-38 to BR5 without any problem.
its been years since that, i dont think the devs adding SVT-38 clip reloads so soon tbh, if the G41 reload speed was buffed to similar levels of the other semis, i think it would be worth it, but by rn, it has the same reload speed of an fully upgraded MG34, and only 1/5 of the mag capacity, not worth it.
The G43 is a great BR IV rifle, the sights of the ZH are awful IMO.
As @GROOT0404 said, the SVT 38 needs to be nerfed by reloading with clips, and the G41 needs a minor reload speed buff (0.8 seconds, or maybe even a full second shaven off). I’d even throw in a reload nerf for the Johnson rifle at the same time (by 0.2-0.4 seconds).
Not plausible, guaranteed. They are not just going to move down a BR IV mag-fed rifle without nerfing it somehow.
People voting on this suggestion need to understand this inevitability. You are not just voting to have it moved down, it will be balanced according to its new position as well - thinking otherwise is a fantasy.
For example have the G 41 reload only 5 rounds when “reload” is pressed by the player. That would cut the reload time of the G 41 in case of an emergency. Then if the player presses “reload” again another 5 rounds could be loaded, so the maximum of 10 rounds would then only be loaded if the player presses “reload” twice. The AI soldiers would also have to do this for the G 41 to be useful and competitive.
Now I am aware that this is currently technically already possible with the G 41 in Enlisted by interrupting the reloading of the G 41 when the first reload of 5 rounds has started, but then again how many players actually know this and, even more important, how many players will do that in the heat of the moment. Either way: the AI soldiers will currently always load 10 rounds and since they are by far the most numerous soldiers in Enlisted that makes the current BR 3 G 41 with its current long reload times simply not a BR 3 weapon for the AI soldiers, the current BR 3 G 41 is a BR 2 weapon at best for the AI soldiers.
It might be better instead to simply let the player load 5 rounds with the first reload, then another five with the second reload, and have the AI soldiers do this as well.
Alternatively a new BR 2 G 41 could be introduced in Enlisted in addition to the current BR 3 G 41. This new BR 2 G 41 would then only load 5 rounds when the player presses “reload” and this BR 2 G 41 would only load another 5 rounds when the player presses “reload” again, only then would this BR 2 G 41 be loaded with the maximum of 10 rounds. The current BR 3 G 41 could then remain as it currently already operates in Enlisted.
Then of course there is the easiest solution: simply further reduce the reload time of the current BR 3 G 41. That is the easiest solution and probably the best one requiring the least work for the developers. Either way, the AI soldiers currently spend too much time reloading the current BR 3 G 41 with the current BR 3 G 41 long reload times. And since AI soldiers are the most numerous soldiers in Enlisted, that makes the current BR 3 G 41 with its current long reload times not a BR 3 weapon for the AI but a BR 2 weapon at best, for the AI soldiers that is.
If the BR 3 G 41 remains as it currently is, then indeed making the current G 43 a BR 3 weapon would be a good alternative solution. Additionally a K 43 could then be introduced with improved stats as a BR 4 weapon.
The SVT-38 was often reloaded with stripper clips according to several sources. The magazine was a bit of a problem on the SVT-38. They were not interchangeable with other SVT-38s and would often fall out of the weapon in combat. That seems to have been a reason for using stripper clips.
so its like the early and late variant? if so i dont mind. my g43 haave been in the storage box covered in dust for not being used for a loooooong time
Essentially the K 43 was the G 43 with certain modifications and improvements, and for several reasons it was then re-designated from Gewehr to Karabine. In game terms the K 43 could for example have less recoil/muzzle climb, different accuracy etc.
The Gewehr 43 and Karabine 43 kept getting improvements and modifications right up till the end of the war. Most of them are not visible at first glance.
A stripper clip (which is what it should have come with from day one) for the SVT-38 solves the BR3 semi auto disparity issue between the Soviets and Germans. However, just as with the body armor, the DEV’s won’t do shit about it. Any requests that negatively changes the Soviet faction are apparantely considered knee jerk reactions.
Stripper clips for SVT-38’s, and Body armor to ONLY assaulter engineers, and people would stop whining…For a while.
