Germany's new submachine gun: Potsdam submachine gun

Potsdam submachine gun
The Potsdam submachine gun was a type of submachine gun produced by Nazi Germany, and it was a copy of the Sten submachine gun.
It can be said that it is completely indistinguishable from the Sten submachine gun. It’s just produced in Germany.
(However, it is quite suitable for distributing to some event teams, such as the militiamen in the ruins.)

(Pay attention to the content circled in red. It clearly states that this is not a captured Sten submachine gun.)
In May 1940, under the pursuit of the German armored forces and the screeching of Stuka dive bombers, the British and French armies began the Dunkirk evacuation. It can be said that the disheveled British troops used extremely rudimentary Sten submachine guns. While the German troops holding MP40 submachine guns might not have expected that one day, their armories would also produce Sten submachine guns to supply them.
Perhaps some people thought that the main character of today was the MP3008 submachine gun, which was designed based on the Sten. But what we are talking about today is the Potsdam submachine gun, a submachine gun even more reminiscent of the Sten.
At first, both the Wehrmacht and the SS, regardless of whether they were the Wehrmacht or the SS, disregarded the Sten as a trophy and simply threw it into the warehouse or gave it to the second-line troops. However, as the front line stretched further and further, there was a shortage of MP40 submachine guns, and the German army was forced to adopt some captured light weapons.
The head of the SS special forces, the famous scar-faced Otto Skorzeny, equipped his troops with some Sten submachine guns. However, relying on the captured Sten submachine guns to fill the gap in MP40 was not a long-term solution. So, the German army thought of imitation.
The task of imitating the Sten submachine gun was entrusted to the Mauser armory. It was already the end of 1944 at that time, and the German troops stationed in France ordered 25,000 Potsdam submachine guns at one go and demanded delivery by February 1945! Although the Sten submachine gun was simple, it couldn’t withstand such a large quantity at such a rush. Therefore, the Mauser armory set the highest price for the year for the submachine gun - equivalent to 150 US dollars per unit! Although it was a bit expensive, Mauser still exceeded the target and produced 28,000 of them.
The Potsdam submachine gun is exactly an imitation of the Sten MK II submachine gun, and the performance data is completely the same. This gun adopts the most common free-recoil mechanism for submachine guns, with a 32-round magazine for loading, and the magazine is located on the left side (MP3008 is located at the bottom). The overall length of the gun is 762mm, the barrel length is 197mm, the total weight (including empty magazine) is 3.04kg, and the theoretical firing rate is 550 rounds per minute.

Do you hope to see this kind of weapon included in our game?
(This type of weapon is usually allocated to the second-line units, and these second-line units are likely to be air force field troops, militias, or naval infantry regiments…) ?
Their value lies in that they provide us with a distinctive team.

i’m sorry, but the Mp3008 is literally based off a stengun.

with some modifications, but still.

while i am not opposed to captured smgs, or in this case, reproductions, it would just be a bit reduntant imo as it’s not really an improvement over what they already have, nor be new ( like the mp3008 ).
