Germany don’t have since a while a LMG for event, I will be honest, I don’t know the especifications, but I remember the weapon existed if anyone can help to improve the chances, here is the photo of the beauty
LMG is a lifestyle! I will always be happy to see new LMGs.
idk it would be a good rd44 counter? where is the weapon specifications?
I do not know about this strange piece
But now that Axis finally got a decent belt length mg42, I feel we could go LOWER (always power creep isn’t necessary for fun).
I know many asked for the bulky ww1 lmg (at this point that thing is heavy…), the
Mg 08/15.
It seriously looks like an analogue to the Lewis of the time, wich we have (for Soviets only, sadly) at br3.
Note it came with a big car battery. This could balance out it’s high round reserve (I guess it was 100?) With very, veeeery slow movement in game.
2400RPM would be very unique. Although this doesn’t even have a bipod, I don’t know if it would even be usable.
for japan I would love they get their own lewis version I made a post:Type 92 Battlepass or Event Weapon
MG 81 should’ve been a RD counter, what’s with 8 kg weight IRL (similar to BAR’s), but it got lazy copypaste stats from MG15, gun with twice more weight. ADS speed, movement dispersion - all stats from MGs of over 15 kg weight.
ik thats how to ruin a gun purpose basically
no machine gun with full-size rifles can be an analogue of the RD 44, there are a couple of machine guns / submachine guns that could do the same as the RD 44, but as I understand it, everyone is against this weapon because then you won’t be able to complain about Soviet bias
Isnt that just for water cooling jacket ?!
I think you can fire this thing without it just fine but just not 24/7 like with water cooling.
I’m not sure to be honest. Looks like a car battery but maybe it’s not that at all…
(After looking better, it looks indeed like a small liquid tank)
But the fact remains, it looks heavy, which COULD be used as a balance factor (sluggish movement speed)
I think it is for water cooling, these things really could fire 24/7 if cooling water is available.
Just remembered this picture
^ note the big hatch top of jacket, it was slightly difficult to keep water from freezing in -40c
so that hatch was made so they could use snow as substitute.
It just doesnt look like heavy, it is heavy.
Very least the same movement penalty as other lmg’s has.
But then again, we got japanese soldiers running around shoulder firing ~50kg anti-tank rifle.
Yes - it’s effectively just a MG-08 without the tripod (there are differences for “lightness” like a smaller water jacket) - so a liquid cooled Maxim
Yes indeed - with water jacket full (but no ammo or the reservoir) it weighs 19kg - 40 lb.
100% sprint penalty might be appropriate!
You know, I think even with sprint completely disabled, I would still enjoy such an oldie
I wouldnt mind even if these were introduced with bipods, for stationary use.
~600-850 rof same treatment as with solothurn can be fired only in prone or mounted + little bit extra work with bipod.
only way for it to be low br (it has probably around 100 rounds? and decent rof) is to drastically reduce other stats such as speed (completely disable sprint)… The Solothurn concept would work well. Would be very niche, especially with everyone just running around using everything like it’s some assault rifle…
Sure, currently the machineguns just doesnt feel like machine guns, most being fairly limited due to ammo count.
And once you can get a decent ammo count at higher BR’s the slow movement speed & relatively poor dmg is overshadowed by pretty much everything.
Hence, wouldnt mind heavier options with bigger ammo counts regardless of BR limiting them by movement speed & easiest to implement nerf would be the solothurn treatment, cant fire it unless prone or mounted.
Thats really german mg?? Never saw that looks really like the Loui, but what is that crate? Looks like a battery from a car😂 ah thats water cooling? Nice, well the germans thinged on many things
