So far, America already have 3 high-damage semi-automatic rifles(over 16), I think it’s about time to give this kind of rifle for other factions.
Here we have for Germany is an experimental variant of the G43 rifle, it has a 740mm barrel which is much longer than the original length(550mm). It also fed with a 30 round magazine from the ZB 30.
Despite its 30 round magazine is pretty similar to the Bren magazine, actually it’s based on the Czech ZGB 33(chambered in .303 British), which is the original design for the Bren. Its curved magazine design was also adopted by the later ZB 39 but its magazine has a flatter curve compared to the ZGB 33.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find a picture of a German ZB 26 & 30 with a 30 round magazine(only Chinese version), but I think during the war, German tried to rechamber it in 7.92×57mm Mauser for their ZB light machine guns.
ZGB 33
I think this rifle has a pretty good potential for Br5 since it has a large ammo capacity and higher damage. By the way, most G43 rifles have scope mount except the early production rifles.
Which means a sniper version of this rifle could also be a good option.
Do you want to see the G43 30(long) and its sniper variant in the future?
15.3+ is considered high damage. Which has now just become the norm. Fg42 used to only do 14.4.
They have br2 and br3 pavesi with 15.6 damage when u.s. doesn’t even get a single transferable 15 damage semi there.
Germany has an AR that does semi rifle damage. Along with many different SF choices doing 15.3, u.s. only gets 1, and 0 scoped SFs. Germany is in a much better place than u.s. when it comes to rifles
Mkb is a total beast with high damage and probably should of not been br4. But that’s not the highest damage AR germany has. There’s the scotti naval rifle with a whooping 14.5 damage.
Kretz is a modded bolt action with a bicycle chain. It fills the roll fine, but it’s not a true semi auto rifle. It has less than half the rof, and it’s better used at longer distances like a bolt action. Pavesi, federov, lui rifle are all better used at much closer distances.
But sure, if germany wants a 16 damage semi for br4 that’s fine. I think all br4 semis should be doing significantly more damage
