Free ̶t̶a̶n̶k̶s̶ guns (for saboteurs)

The problem with the saboteur’s weapon’s disguise properties, as well as simply its questionable logic, is obvious to everyone. The best solution would be to automatically adjust the weapon to the enemy faction and, preferably, the combat rating. However, this may not appeal to those who want to replace this weapon with a TT weapon. And apparently, technical difficulties prevent the developers from adding a magic weapon that transforms from German to Japanese on different maps.

Therefore, I will propose a solution that will suit everyone and is probably more realistic from a technical point of view due to the use of developments of previously existing mechanics.

Let’s recall the free tanks. This mechanic involved selecting an object based on certain conditions of the battle the player was entering. Specifically, choosing a free tank model based on the current match’s battle rating.

So, I propose implementing an additional “squad” of saboteurs in a similar way, which receives weapons based on the BR of this match and nation of the current enemy faction.

A “squad” of additional saboteurs is only available for selection in battle if the player has a “squad” of regular saboteurs in their setup.

When a “squad” of regular saboteurs dies, the additional saboteurs receive the same cooldown.

Just like the “squad” of regular saboteurs, the additional saboteurs receive the same cooldown when a “squad” of additional saboteurs dies.

This way, the player will be able to use both the fixed saboteur weapon he has chosen and the corresponding to this battle one.

I will also offer a list of guns:

Spoiler

When encounters Germany:

BR1 - MP28

BR2 - MP-40

BR3 - MP-35 I guess . . . although I prefer Beretta on the BR3

BR4 - Kiraly

BR5 - StG-44

When encounters Japan:

BR1 - S1-100 (oh, really?)

BR2 - type-100 early

BR3 - type-100 late

BR4 - type2 AR (I’d be damned if I suggested a sawed-off M2. Although it would be funny.)

BR5 - Tokyo Arsenal . . . I guess

When encounters Soviets:

BR1 - PPD-34 stick mag (oh, really?)

BR2 - PPS-43

BR3 - PPSh-41 box mag

BR4 - PPD-40

BR5 - Fedorov (I’d like to suggest the PPSh, but it’s clearly not the most popular assault weapon at BR5, and meta players wouldn’t like it. Although it is possible that the specificity of the saboteur class will allow SMG to reveal itself better than AR. There’s also evidence of some Fedorovs being captured by the Finns and Japanese at Khalkhin Gol. I can’t say anything on its real combat use.)

When encounters US:

BR1 - sten

BR 1-5 - Tommy (AC is not BR5 meta, but Hyde is too ugly for me to suggest it.)

Great solution for an issue I was wondering about myself. Don’t see any problems with this esp since it’s optional and br dependent

This is a good idea; at least in the battlefield environments of the Western Front and North Africa, the spy sabotage team would not be exposed by the Allies simply because they were equipped with PPSh-41 submachine guns.
