The Springfield Pedersen Device has plenty of areas that need buffing, but before all that, can we at least get a bayonet for it? It’s unbelievable that the devs have overlooked it for so long.

One of the most neglected weapon in the game that i have no idea why it’s even on BR 2 to begin with. Who would even want to use this thing even on BR 1 with such low dmg with stuck in semi-auto firing mode?
What are you talking about? This rifle is great. It’s essentially a VG1-5 at T2. It does less damage but it’s still usually two hits to down and it has basically no recoil and you can issue it to a pilot.
And that’s how BR2 power creep continues.
What used be a decent weapon is now has “plenty of areas that need buffing”.
Whatever, low BRs are totally screwed up. And it’s all because of playerbase.
It’s actually disgusting how many people are minmaxing BR2 lineups just to bully newbies.
I’d say adding a bayonet should be the end of buffs for the Pedersen. It’s not such a large change to the rifle and the bayonet lug is already present and should be used.
I’ve not used this gun, looks like BP from before i played, and i haven’t been “lucky” enough to get one from silver boxes, but it seems like aside from mag cap, it’s worse than the beretta 1918/30, which I have one of, and which is…interesting but underwhelming at BR1.
6.2 dmg at 10m means that you can’t even 2 hit down a soldier with 35% vitality perk which anyone who worth their salt picking up on every solders in their roster if possible. Now imagine you trying to kill someone at 50m range with vitality perk with this gun. How many shots would it take then? You comparing 6.2 dmg gun to over 9 dmg gun with less dmg drop off at range is hilariously out of touch.
And how does that exactly make it worthy to be used on BR2? If you are fighting on ground as pilot a lot, i think i don’t need to continue this conversation. ![]()
Not having used it, i agree, but am open to having my mind changed.
I have my beretta 1918/30 on my lead engineer in br1 engineer squad just for flavor, my only semi-auto in br1, and it’s kind of ass. At br1, with a higher hit power than this gun.
Yes gramp adumbnpiss you can stop yelling at the sky now we all know how you thinks about BR 2. ![]()
That’s funny because since the day that weapon was added, it never even considered as good let alone as a decent weapon like ever. But you are adumbnpiss so making shit up like this is no surprise for me i guess. ![]()
I have four of them, but never use them as the damage is so low I just stick to the M1 Carbine.
The only time I have ever used them was as backup weapons. I support adding a bayonet, however, with the low damage it produces a bayonet would be my least concern. ![]()
this is basically just a giant pistol with a 40rnd mag, it should be br1
Yes to the bayonet, but this is a good BR2 weapon. Huge magazine and no recoil, it’s good at BR2 and needs no special buffs besides of bayonet.
90% of the time your pilot run will end their run fighting on the ground. Unless don’t know the key for deploy parachute in which case I don’t need to continue this conversation.
Pilots normally only have access to SMGs and always deploy at the back, not at a forward spawn meaning any weapon that allows them greater accuracy is valuable to them. Plus they carry two weapons so don’t need to compromise and not carry an SMG. This means that a Pederson Device Springfield or S&W Light Rifle are useful to this class. The Perderson is much more accurate than the S&W which makes it particularly good in this niche.
I am surprised you need this explained.
Anyway… the bayonet would be a very welcome addition as then I could charge to the front lines with the thing.
Oh wow you are actual clown okay take care buddy. ![]()
