They should actually be able to carry less stuff on average now across the entire squad due to having less total soldiers, which in turn would be made up for by the stronger guns?
They’re no longer strictly better now. That is for sure.

The squads were always of mostly collectible value to me and it has not been reduced. My only concern is recent advertisement campaign. The squads lost their access to CBT feature, it was known that they will be kept after wipe and it was also known what advantages they give. So advertising their sale and then reducing their value in the last moment does undermine a bit my trust to all other company offers.
Otherwise I think the change will do more good than bad.

The premium squads really stand out, especially if it’s a decent player.
Indeed they do, the only 5 star SMG’s and LMG’s in the history of the game. And people complained they would be underpowered. They will overperform all upcoming premium squads to ever be released.
