For existing premium squad owners concerned about the nerfs to their squads:

Last line:

all existing premium squads purchased during the CBT and beforehand will remain as 5th rank squads.

On top of that, as some users had their premium guns no longer fully upgraded after the upgrade changes, the squads will be added to your account as new, fresh squads. They will contain all gun upgrades just like how users who bought a premium squad after the upgrade changes have their guns maxed.

So to sum it up:

Existing premium squads will ONLY lose the bonus perk capacity, and the 3 extra assaulters.

Nothing else. Hope that clears some stuff up.

Note: this is not a thread to discuss how the squads are trash now or whatever. We do not know that because of all the other balance changes coming with OBT. If you think they are trash, you can try to get a refund here if you so wish: https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us

Feel free to post constructive suggestions about what you would buff about them if they do turn out to be too weak, though.

NEW Premium squads sold after the start of OBT will be downgraded to max rank 4 soldiers. No other changes.

MG30/Chauchat squads will be removed/replaced on April 15th but keep the rank 5 soldiers until then.

now people will tell others not to buy the premium squads

It’s all confusing, we’ll see how it plays out, I guess. I’m not even blaming you lol Just saying devs need to chill with reading forums lol

Thanks for the summary

The people who don’t like this change can shut up if you ask me

In OBT, a lot of f2p players will come who will think that even these fixed premium squads will be OP

It’s good for Enlisted to keep making money but stay non-p2w
This is a big step-up for the developers

GREAT JOB DEVS :+1:

My thoughts exactly.
With the game having no battle rating differences in campaigns, balance should be paramount.
As they stand right now, Premium squads still retain advantages, but they also have disadvantages now, as they should.
I would be happy though, if their high price of 30$ also reprented some economic benefits like permanent boosts or some in game currency or premium time.
This is however a step in the right direction, and in some years the owners will be the proud owners of 4 MP.41 terminators with body armor and future anti tank weapons that might be added.

+100% campaign XP rate enough? That’s what they got rn.

I agree, finally I don’t have to feel bad to play the squads I bought

I was not aware of that. Wish you could swap the premium troops out (unvailable to other squads while in reserve) and put in normal SMG troopers to train them.
Still retaining the 4-man squad cap though.

I think that 5 man cap would be a golden middle but it is better then it was.

Yeh good change. But hopefully they unlock that secondary weaponslot so we can use other weapons then premium guns if we want.

Also not sure about that 4 star thing… Mayby new guys should be able to level their premium squads to strong as cbt squads.
By training i dont mean academy but mayby just playing it.

That would fix most of the sensible peoples issues

I don’t think that would be a good idea, if you can have MP-41 and MP-40, that would mean having the 100% ammo perk as ammo can be used on both guns.

It’d probably be more about having secondary rifle.

Shotgun in this case of we still with current class rules. Oh and rifles for LMGs my bad

will it work that way? im pretty sure when i use my 2x ppd drum with 100% ammo for PRIMARY weapon i only get extra ammo(perk) for 1 gun and not for both

Assaulters can carry rifles too.

iirc the perk says “100% more ammunition for the main weapon”
