The 3 cm Flakvierling 103/38 It was a quadruple 30mm anti-aircraft gun developed by Rheinmetall Borsig during the final months of WW2 to more efficiently destroy Allied fighter-bombers.
Characteristics
•Armament:Four MK 103/38 cannons in quadruple mounting (50 Projectiles in each Cylinder)
•Cadence: 450 Shots per minute
•Caliber: 30 mm, 30 × 184 mm ammunition (In disintegrating belts)
With the incorporation of jets and current anti-aircraft systems, the Allied CAS has had a significant advantage due to the lack of a suitable AA gun for the BR V.And this MK 103/38 Quadruple is an excellent option for stopping the annoying P-47, Corsair, P-51,B-25, A-20, G-5, Meteor and P-80 This cannon will disintegrate those annoying Allied CAS units.
Even the 2cm variant they removed from the game years ago would work in that case i think.
Also would mean less work on the dev side because it just need to get reimplemented by them.
Or they can also give it the performance of the MK 103/38 Quadruple but visually look like a Flakvierling 20mm And later on, the developers give them the proper cannon appearance.
The MK 103/38s do not have the low speed and drop-off that the MK 108s do.
On Pacific maps, there are high-tier Japanese AA guns—but they’re just map props, sadly not usable.
I think adding some unbalanced elements could be innovative, like making those background emplacements at the final airfield point functional. That would actually fit the spirit of this thread.
There are random 85mm and 88mm AA guns scattered across the map, but they’re just decorations.
Theoretically, they should be usable just like the AT guns in the Berlin Forest map — that would make the game way more fun.
There should be high and low BR variants of the AA cannon like there currently is for the AT cannon. The speed of jet aircraft makes single barrel AA turrets less practical to use
