tigers were present. exept, the american didn’t actually fighted them. but canadians, and uk forces did.

( you can see also the wreckage. which doesn’t make much sense but )

Apologies sir, I was mixed up with the 12th SS Panzer & 21st Panzer divisions

yes, meaning they wouldnt be part of the US landings like we have rn.
Unless you think it’s a good idea to pit a jumbo against it, with the rest of the tanks we got remaining as-is.

maybe we get limitations like I suggested or HEAT like you suggested and we got ourselves a nice realistic tank experience

Judging tanks based on their tier from a vehicle-only game is not the best choice

WT must be left behind and we must focus on Enlisted. Infantry in this game is more important and heavy tanks are slow, thus vulnerable to infantry

Only 6 were operational at the time of the landings, more were in France but being repaired/ overhauled.

Yeah I noticed the wrecks but put it down to aesthetics.

i was thinking more of panthers. but that would be a little too much.

as good luck with m8s and m3s…

Not really.
Panther is weak from the side and also like I stated

I think the tank roster is pretty good for Normandy, seeing as Armoured Cars and light vehicles played more of a part in the bocage fighting. That and they don’t feel stupidly overpowered.

Would like to see a tanker 2 line of combat cars/ half tracks

correct… but as i said, m3 and m8 are gonna be useless against panthers.

and might suprise all of us, but panthers are actually faster than tigers.

(The first combat use of the Tiger II was by the 1st Company of the [503rd Heavy Panzer Battalion](s.H.Pz.Abt. 503) during the Battle of Normandy opposing Operation Atlantic between Troarn and Demouville on 18 July 1944. Two were lost in combat, while the company commander’s tank became irrecoverably trapped after falling into a bomb crater created during Operation Goodwood.) According to wikipedia. Shame we can never have it in the game for Normandy.

I dont think we really need the limitations
the stuart/puma get mobility advantage, allowing to prowl around the battlefield and mostly ignore infantry, but arent very good at killing infantry either.
the m8/pz3 get the reload speed advantage, with 50% HE, 40% APHE and 10% HEAT loaded, allowing you to use the APHE to take out the light tanks, and HEAT to take out the medium tanks while enjoying that fast reloading big HE lobber against infantry.
the sherman/pz4 would be the main battle tanks that have the best gun and armor, but would be the most vulnerable against infantry.

The only thing we have to take into account is “how easy is it for this thing to kill infantry” and “how easy is it for this thing to be killed by infantry”, as those are the only two things where tanks and infantry interact. For the former, gun size, reload speed and MGs matter, while for the latter, mobility, and up to a certain point, armor matters.

maybe we can have a battle of the bulge?

But also these vehicles are slow, big and have terrible turret speed

And M8/Pz-3 are not going to be dead if we give limitations to heavier tanks

M5 stuarts is already useless compared to Pz-4J but guess what? We have them both in Enlisted

So instead of removing all these vehicles, we could find a reason to balance them

or more easy like happened with the ba-11, remove it. and fit something better.

actually not when you take infantry context. The pz4j is still vulnerable to the stuart, and the stuart is much less vulnerable against infantry.

thing with the BA-11 is that it was too powerful while furfilling the same role as the T-26 and BT-7

for example, one could say the pz4/t28 for moscow invalidate all the other tanks for anti-infantry purposes. But for anti-tank, the other tanks still have a role to play, in addition to their mobility.

nope, from what i can see, ( not sure ) but normandy it’s setted during operation overlond, and market garden.

bulge would be too much further. as both faction had somewhat of different equipment.

I like your thinking

Much better than Erikabrener who just wants to remove everything and give us flat, symmetric gameplay

as seperate campaign, ofc.
cursed: bulge campaign OwO

And also, Ba-11 wasn’t used in Moscow

idk whether the pz3n was used in normandy, nor the M8.
got anything on that?

Panzer IIIs were obsolete by 1944; however they were still used for infantry support to an extent/training and some chassis was converted to make Stug IIIs instead. Panzer III doesnt matter which variant in 1944 is just a joke.
