This time my subjects fail me once again not introducing enough aircrafts and giving me a good aircraft with wrong payload or wrong BR so I suggest a little balance to F7F-1 and Ki-83 I think the best solution since they are very similar aircraft is to put them to BR IV and give them same payload of 2x250 kg bombs.
Why this aircrafts are good at BR IV well very simple they have good chances against jets and are weak against nimble small fighters and AA guns since they are huge targets and 2x250 kg bombs will give you good chances vs IS-1 and Panther. I think Air factions like Japan and US can benefit from such agreement of technological and BR exchange
I have checked on Sakura and Ki-83 can carry 2x250 kg bombs:
Now since we had this nice surprise and we have very similar aircraft we can compare so 2x250 kg bombs was the right payload for the Ki from the begging but who knows better about surprises then Japan so 2x250 kg bombs will be appreciated specially against IS-1…
Ki-83 is a jet at BRIV (I mean really, it got a thrusters engine)
It’s good and unique, bad in CAS but good as an interceptor, tiger cat won’t do that.
I think we just give tiger cat more bomb or rocket and make it stay in BRV.
The problem is even with maximum payload it wont be good at BR V unless it gets rockets and there is plenty of BR V options but for BR IV this aircraft will be amazing against Jets since its guns have a lot of ammo and a lot of range something the Ki-83 can never hope to have. The 20 mm cannons and 50 cals have very similar high muzzle velocities, their shells and bullets travel on a very flat and similar trajectory. This makes aiming and calculating lead significantly easier at all ranges than the Ki-83’s mixed-velocity battery even in war thunder the F7F-1 is a bit better in battle rating do to its amazing guns.
And not to mention if they are too good they can be put on a higher BR and F7F-1 payload to be changed there is also F7F-3 and many more options for BR V and J5N1 can become BR IV and Ki 83 can be moved to BR V but only after testing but I think that Ki 83 and F7F-1 will be nice BR IV options since they are not jets heavy fighters bleed energy not like jets.
Well Fixes two BRs for Japan giving this plane good bombs and US gets nice BR IV plane that they are missing that can be used also in two BRs so its win win for all.
It had normal mounts for 50,100 and 250 kg standard bombs like all other Japanese aircrafts even it had ground attacker variant KI 103 you can check yourself:
You’re lying))
The only book that mentions that is “IJA EXPERIMENTAL FIGHTERS, Pictorial MONOGRAPH, FAOW #24, BUNRINDO JAPAN”. Other Japanese literature cites the standard figures of 30–60 kg. Besides, the mount for a 250 kg bomb has a fairly specific V-shape. The Ki-83’s mounts, at the very least, don’t look like those, and there’s nowhere to fit them anyway.
All @_DELAVR gonna say is that you should give up your Russian citizenship and accept Mongolian and change your avatar to anime avatar how about that ? If DELAVR says it has 2x250 kg bombs I want you to change your vote and change your avatar to anime avatar ?
What a shame. By rights it ought to be moved to BR 3, split half for ordnance loadout and half for aircraft firepower plus performance. Truth be told, this vehicle isn’t even all that strong.
It seems there’s no record of any superior loadout in history, so a 50–100 kg payload is its absolute maximum upgrade. New Japanese aircraft at BR 3 already carry 250 kg ordnance, making this plane look rather underwhelming by comparison.
