Airplanes need a major nerf/change. They are ruining the game for me, the reason being is because they literally make or break games.
I have been paying attention to why I have been losing my games, and 99% of the time it is because 3 or 4 people on the enemy team are using Airplanes and it ends up with them having insane K/D ratios. A few games ago a person almost had 200 kills on the DDay map because of this.
There simply is nothing you can do on maps that are open vs planes, you are forced to use them when the enemy team does or you lose no matter what, it turns the game into a match of whoever spams the most planes wins in these situations and it is insanely unfair when you start out without one as a new player. Even assuming you did start out with planes as a new player, that would not help anything but simply shift the burden of airplanes being that much more a problem.
Please change planes, in the games current balance they absolutely bust balance for the game, and the balance ignoring planes is actually really good. Any massive nuke AOE that can easily be spammed in general from any point in the game IS NOT a good thing in a point based objective system.

as they whine limit guns they bomb u in to submission then say how good they are i take some getting used to but eventually they will nerf them
well my complaint is they nerfed arty so quick cuase a few people cried but 3 times as many complaints on planes hell no we wont nerf. and no making people wait 1 min to spawn in a plane isn’t a nerf
Don’t be foolish; it’s not only the axis, but ALL bombers that need a serious nerf. Doesn’t matter wich side you play with, a bomber will always come and ruin your day.
Best thing you can do is just avoid Normandy for the time being. The amount of bombers with heavy load is cancerous there. Just give a try in Berlin or Moscow. Planes there have way less bombing payload. Also imo both of those campaigns are better and more fun than Normandy
I feel that if air combat was a little more effective, such as fighters going after bombers and what not. Perhaps even a radar that can be built by engineers, so that their blip doesnt disappear after like 5 seconds. Might make a difference.
im kinda sick of games where you have those poeple that just want to play in the planes and the whole game all they do is just bomb the objective, run after run just bombing the objective, and lord knows that the RNG for plane to plane needs fixing, one of my latest dogfights was against a p51 and i went though three whole ammo restocks of the messerschmitt g6 then i just quit, im not tolerating that shit
Again, a simple solution I posted some time ago: change the availability of bomber squads from a 3 squad rotation to a 6 squad rotation. This way bombers would retain their usefulness, but ppl would be less quick to just kamikaze bomb as they would need to spawn 6 infantry squads before being able to use their bombers again. Bonus: fighters would gain a real use because of this.
Man there have been so many threads about planes by now. The devs dont care. They think zero skill bombing and wiping whole maps is AWESOME. Its so much trololol and pewpew
Still with 10+ players in each team a bomber can be up in the air the whole time. A hard cap of the amount of times each player can use a bomber squad (1-2 per match) is the only normal solution imo. Or just nerf the bomber’s loadouts to the ground. just give them only 100kg bombs. The later would be the best imo but i dont believe it ll never happen
I wouldn’t be against a limit of bomber per match per player. It would achieve a similar result as my suggestion. As long as DarFlow DO something about bombers, for the love of God!
yeah, i think that the IL-2s in Berlin are the perfect CAS for Enlisted. Good but not ridiculous and with only 100kg bombs you need a bit of skill to use them deadly. At least this is my experience of them. Nothing like the meme carpetbombing with 250kgs bombs in Normandy with my Ju-188
The only reason i’ve ever appreciated a plane was when they blew up a camping jumbo or t-28 i couldn’t physically kill in my tank. Outside that i’m entirely in favor of removing bombers in general.
