Is there anyway to refund and back-out of supporting the game?
I really didn’t think they’d implement this f2p excuse system of robbing people, and feel robbed and lied to with this progression of what seems to be a abusive monetary system.
I don’t want to be put to a artificial -100% gaining rate despite paying for the game already.
Through every single alpha, beta test to this point - not a single thing about ‘pay to win’ has shown up.
Now sudden, we have: Pay for state changes, pay for early-access to campaign unlocks, pay for special soldiers, weapons and so on.
You can literally pay to increase your stats to the point it takes 2 shots in the situation where only 1 shot would kill a character in a non-paid manner. And this was never warned, advertised or shown throughout any other versions or releases.
Until suddenly its been brought it now.
And now we’re subjected to a -100% development in XP - and can be out-bought by anyone who wants to pay for a advantage.
How many people will spend thousand of euros/dollars to max their soldiers? I think its pretty theorical situation and when OBT launches there wont be any fully decked players
I know for a fact that there will be at least 3 players capable (and wiling) to do it that are active on these forums.
Knowing that maybe 5-15% of players are on the forums, and the spread of players across all “types” (whales, newbies, that kinda types), you can expect at least 30 players who play actively to just instantly buy themselves to the end game, will all of the issues that will cause for the rest of the playerbase.
Certain people simply earn soo much money every month that they can afford wasting 1000$ on some pixels.
It won’t be thousands - maxing 5-6 squads for 1 side in 1 campaign will be … well… I’d guess < US$100 if they keep the current costs.
You won’t max every squad - for some of the specialists (eg mortars, Engineers, “Bombers”, artillery) - you will just buy the personnel upgrades and maybe the weapon ones if it suits you - then you can pay to upgrade the soldiers you actually use to those levels and field them in other quads as required.
I just got access a few hours ago - so far I’ve spent <3500 GE total, spread over premium access 990GE) , 2 extra squads (490 each), and several upgrades to mortar and bomber squads.
Upgrading troops - completing academy assignments instantly for example - is pretty cheap too, but I haven’t done that. I did try a perk reroll - don’t think that’ll be worth 32 GE.
So that <US$35 - actually just checked - all up I’ve spent 3113 GE total.
should have been more clear. i meant right away after wipe when you have to buy all campaing levels, roll those equipment boxes etc. Ofcourse its cheap now cause you already leveled/grinde lot of stuff(i assume so) but other hand ‘advantage’ is pretty small cause everyone have competive squads
No - I got that you mean after the wipe - which is my my costs are based on taking 2 lvl 1 squads up to level 11 - my mortar and PIAT squads had had no training at all.
ETA:
So as an exercise I bought the next level for the German Normandy campaign - level 3, and fully upgraded the new Engineer squad I got - squad (14), personnel (13) and weapon (9) improvements - the total was 1070 GE.
Each one cost 10-50 points - I think it is just sequential - the first “x” you buy will cost 10 each - I suspect about 10, then the next few cost 20, then 30, 40 and finally the last few cost 50 each.
So if they keep these costs it will be almost trivial to upgrade - if they give a bonus buying bulk GE then it is less than US$10 for a squad like this - more if it has more than 1 weapon of course…
ETAA: and just for info - I bought Level 4 for 560, level 5 - 616 (560 + 10%?), level 7 would be 860 (but I’m not buying it) - so costs seem to follow the same increasing rate as XP.
