Monetization - Reality

Many of you guys hold differing views on this topic which in reality will determine the future of Enlisted.

Have any of you seen or played Heroes & Generals? Enlisted is no different, you pay for your pleasure. Enlisted is not intended to be a charity.

However, it can be free if you are happy with grinding your way through. Just like War Thunder.

Most things cost especially pleasure sports, so when I play golf I have to pay for course fees, if I go to a football game it costs, if I go to the races it costs entry fees and more if I fail to back a winner :grimacing:

In Heroes & G you can buy Veteran Membership to increase your XP and buy all manner of things, Weapons, Vehicles, Mines and even cosmetic things like uniforms, helmets. You have the option of grinding your way to all of these things if you don’t want to pay or cannot afford to.

So give Enlisted a chance to find the right balance :raising_hand_man:

to be honest, i think this thread speaks about it clearly.

and it’s said from someone that actually payed for this game just to enter, and payed further more just to test those microtransactions. it’s sad.
and guess what, he already regreats it in a closed beta. i don’t blain him.

what about
end term?

it’s going to be a lot worse.

i don’t see nor understand how can you be so chill about it.
it’s because of heroes and generals that we would like to avoid the same issues all over again.

just because they did what they did there, doesn’t mean it has to be repliacated over here.

The issue in this thought pattern is the ability to maintain the playerbase.

Sure, the game is not a charity. But it does not have to shove that in everyone’s faces with ads, P2W mechanics and the overall predatory monetization systems.

This game needs free to play players to keep servers filled up

You cannot rely on whales to keep a game alive

If you piss off the free to plays too much, they will leave. Then the seal clubbing whales have nobody to seal club, so they will leave too. And then the game just dies.

And the big difference with here and H&G is that with H&G, you indeed can grind to everything without paying. In Enlisted, this is not the case:

  • Premium squads/weapons that outperform their free counterparts.
  • Bonus squads to take into battle for extra flexibility.

The community has given the initial feedback of hating these P2W aspects but so far, nothing has been done about it. Meanwhile there is a handful of whales suggesting borderline P2W mechanic after full P2W mechanic, further upsetting the average players who simply cannot afford to spend more than 2 lunches worth of money a month on a game like this.

Only whales can keep up. And if players feel like they are always fighting an uphill battle against whales, why would they keep on playing this game?

Seal clubbing whales will think bots are hte ultimate prey.

And here you see the wild Hans bot in his natural habitat, peacefully making its way to the objective. But what’s this? A big, white, whale, takes aim, with his premium MG30! Will he land the shot!? It’s a headshot!!!

I agree whole heartedly

If anything this have proven for a second time that the P2W community is overwhelmingly German mains, judging by the number of Panzer IVs I’ve seen and the complete lack of Shermans.

I’ve seen plenty of Shermans :man_shrugging:

I’ve never encountered Shermans :woman_shrugging:

They are available in the Normandy campaign for the USA

I haven’t seen either, I just see a lot of Pumas, Stuarts and the occasional M8 Scott :woman_shrugging:

just because they are avaiable, doesn’t mean everyone unlocked them.

and that’s the point.

you don’t see many shermans.

how can we give feedbacks about them, if we don’t encounter them?

i have it, but it does not give me a clear idea on how is it to face it againt.

like, sure, don’t give side shots, but i can’t say if it’s better or worse than PZ IV J.

all i know so far, is that in this test,
the sherman got 49 AP Shells and 48 He Shells,

250/2750 bulets for the 7.62 coaxial mg,
and 200/100 bullets for the 12.7 roof machine gun.

weather from the previous and first test of normandy,
the sherman had 48 APCBC, 49 HE shells,

200/5800 rounds for the coaxial mg,
and 150/450 Rounds for the roof mg.

i don’t understand those changes to be honest.

With how long Normandy has been available, the only way to unlock them is to buy them with GE.

I’ve seen quite a few Panzer IVs but never a sherman.

you guys are making me want to buy the panzer 4

if i have to be honest, i don’t like seal club the others.

you might have seen me on the m5 caroline ( the m5 with the skin )

as it helps me to improve my aim against those said panzer IV.

which, also those PZ IV are rare. only saw 3 of them in this entire week.
people might just gaved up and waiting for the OBT.

but time zone could be a factor as well.

They’re nothing special, if anything the least threatening because their damage model actually works, but they’re more proof of the widespread P2W mindset from Germany to go with the MP 41 spam and the MG 30 spam.
