All Game Modes:
Suggestion 1: Let the Engineers have a flame trooper in their squad. You can do this vice versa but not with an Engineer squad. Engineers were usually the ones to have the flamethrowers.
War Mode (Maybe others but not likely):
Suggestion 2: Remove AT grenades from regular infantry and only give them to AT infantry. Not every soldier carried AT equipment. Then give each nation’s AT Infantry their respective AT grenades. You can further this by creating another AT squad that gets sticky grenades, impact grenades or whichever and however you choose to implement what the respective nations used.
War Mode:
Suggestion 3: For the big all out War Mode, create an Engineer squad that gets the ability to make Field Artillery. These can be either static or small artillery that can be towed. Can be resupplied via Engineers or some other creative way.
All Modes:
Suggestion 4: For either mode whichever can be more balanced, give Engineers the ability to make better fortified positions. We have the ability to dig trenches now, so I was thinking building static positions so that tanks can hull down and building pillboxes/sandbag bunkers would be pretty cool.
so would AT squads have to be put earlier on in the campaign? Cause if there isnt a counter to tanks, that wouldn’t be as fun imo. or we could possibly limit the amount of AT grenades per squad? But I dunno, i dont see it working tbh.
One of the suggestions I got was swap the AT and Tank so you get the AT first. As this game is primarily focused on infantry anyway it would make sense to do it that way.
if there’s need to change dynamite, i would rather they just limit persquad not remove them from regular infantry.
Removing the ability of regular infantry to bring dynamite just make tanks more powerful cause it mean that most of the time you only get one chance to throw dynamite/squad.
(I remember only putting AT infantry on gunner squad, so that 1 AT per 3 squad ).
as, of now, i get no problem with dynamite, maybe reduce it damage to infantry
Perhaps the AT grenade thing should only be done if they add a larger game mode that encompasses the entire map of a campaign and leave squads and lone fighters with everyone being able to have Explosive Packs.
Limiting could definitely help. Tanks are pretty down-sided when it comes to city maps as there’s just so many AT grenades. Makes it hard to push the point and objective when you’re constantly bombed out of spawn haha.
Tanks in city maps = underpowered basically
Tanks in open maps like the beach = pretty damn OP
Further to why I disagree about removing AT equipment - tanks are much more prevalent in this game than they were in “real life”, so it is completely unreasonable to restrict infantry to “real life” scale of AT gear.
If you’re referring to the FG42 as a prototype weapon, they did have variants. However they also produced them and was in service from 1943-1970s. There are prototypes in the game however that can still be considered based off real scale as the current stuff in the game was produced.
Also one of the “Game Features” is realism as stated on their website.
I find that AT grenades balance out the game cos personally I would much rather my current squads than replace one for AT.
Tanks are still pretty effective against infantry but getting rid of AT grenades will put infantry at a disadvantage.
Indeed - tanks are a reasonable squad choice as they are at the moment - making them better by limiting AT equipment is not needed and would unbalance the game.
The squad that gets them (or any paratrooper squad that used them) should be the only ones that have them as the FG42’s were produced and used by paratrooper squads.
And in the War Mode, I’m referring to not having every soldier have AT grenades as it would be incredibly OP with over 100 players carrying them. That way they can put emphasis on AT infantry.
Yes - that is my point - and not even every paratrooper - there were only a couple of thousand made, and 10’s of thousands Paratroopers - they suffered over 120,000 casualties, and ther were nominally 10 or 1 divisions in existence at the end of the war!
And so would you also limit the number of tanks?
A realistic scale of support for an infantry company would be about 3 tanks in any offensive action, and 0 on the defence for which there would be AT guns and added AT units.
They also said they wanted to do one with War Thunder but since they couldn’t get it to work we think presumably they will do it with Enlisted as it’s what they want. If you also look in the game files it has all of the stuff needed for it. Towed guns, jeeps, bunch of tank types and weapons, etc.
