The M20 was a light machine gun which was first designed in the USA by Colonel Isaac Lewis. It was adopted by the Dutch army in 1920 as their main light machine gun. It was heavy and had a large pan magazine which suffered with effects from dust and dirt in the field. Despite its problems in was the standard light machine gun of both infantry and cavalry formations.

The BR4 machine gun the Western allies deserve for too long the Axis and Eastern axis have monopolized high-capacity machine guns. than anything this needs to be tech tree the Johnson just is not good enough for br4. I would also like to see more UK guns a lewis at br3 and 4 would fit right in. The smaller bullet and low rate of fire would easily compensate for the larg 97 magazine capacity.

No because Western Allies can get British or US made Lewis guns.
Dutch Lewis gun should be saved for Japan, since they captured thousands of them in 1942, while British or US troops never used Dutch Lewis gun.

Source? I haven’t heard anything about the Dutch East Indies forces using this weapon.

Is there any confirmation of the use of the ke-7 in the German army?

SIG KE7 was not used by Germany even though Germany and the Swiss did trade weapons and war material.
However Ethiopia did operate SIG KE7 LMGs before they were annexed by the Italians and those weapons were transferred to the Italian East African army.

100x times more historically accurate than Allies getting Dutch Lewis gun, but I still didn’t like it either.
Should have been the FN1930 instead.
Anyway I don’t see why Allies would need Dutch Lewis gun when they had thousands of their own British and US made Lewis guns with also 97 rounds pan mags.

At the very least, if it actually gets moved to BR4, it won’t be restricted to only the prone or deployed positions. That kind of setting is truly a regressive misstep that echoes the mistakes made in Bf5

Compared to British bullets, the Dutch bullets have lower power and lower recoil.
