Since the FNAB-43 doesn’t seem to be getting an ROF buff to a historically accurate 600 rpm, could the FNAB-43 be put down into BR1 where it belongs? Most other SMGs in the game have a higher ROF in BR1 than this gun at BR2. It has a hard time when uptiered to BR3…and can only keep up in BR2…the Italian Premium squad sits unused…at least let us swap out the SMG to get use of it.
Do you want the FNAB-43 buffed to an accurate 600 rpm and kept in BR2?
Drop the FNAB-43 to BR1 and keep as is?
Allow the Italian Premium FNAB-43 squad the ability to swap out weapons and the gun remains as is?
ALL of the German BR1 SMGs are better, this just hits a little harder. The squad is wasted money as is and in the TT I would never pick the FNAB-43 as there are MUCH better options.
My first choice would be to increase it’s ROF to 600 base and 690 maxed and leave it in BR2 as it would match the PPS-42 for the most part. However, if Gaijin is going to continue to refuse upgrading it and they just want to leave it alone, then as it sits IMOP it is a BR1 smg, and should be dropped to BR1.
Even dropping to BR1 effects no one who likes it as it is and uses it in BR2, they would still have the option of using it in BR2, however would now have the option to use it in BR1 as well. TBH, it won’t be a game changing option at BR1 either, but it would be more serviceable.
Dropping it to BR1 would not effect me personally since I have no BR1 German squads, but it would IMOP be the right thing to do if Gaijin won’t upgrade it. The true sad thing is, I have zero BR2 German tech tree smg’s I use in battle, even though I have more BR2 assaulter squads then any other BR level. I either have premium squads that I’m forced to use their premium weapons, or tech tree squads whom I’ve armed with premium weapons because the tech tree smg’s aren’t up to my meager standards. If the FNAB were upgraded, I would use it.
40 rounds would be a lot for br 1 and its stats are rlly exaggerated by the community. Improve its dispersion and keep as is. But add an alternative version with the correct fire rate
ive picked up a few FNAB-43 from fallen teammates when I ran out of ammo for my mp40s and its pretty good. I wouldnt its great but in a pinch the ROF can give your soldier a few more minutes on the battlefield before your down to using your axe
It’s not a bad SMG if you have time to shoot at your enemy before he unloads on you . It’s hard to stand toe to toe with any Soviet PPS or US Thompson and not be over matched, since they are throwing down far more lead then you, and with the Thompson hitting harder then you. I like the FNAB, but it would be such a nice SMG if it were shooting somewhere in the same league as the enemy. I have one Premium FNAB squad, but really only use it in custom matches. I find the FNAB with it’s slow ROF is adequate at medium range, especially if you can get the jump on the enemy. The M3 Grease gun shoots slow as well, but it at least hits at 8.2, same as the Thompson and M50 so, even though you’re still at a disadvantage in ROF, at least you can make up for some of it in damage.
If the Dev’s pushed the FNAB up to 600 ROF base, I would use it over any other German TT SMG at BR2. Right now, I use no BR2 tech tree German SMG’s, even though I can field I think nine BR2 assaulter squads.
Some people here like the slow rpm and dont want the gun to get changed, moving it to BR1 would mean you would get a 40 rounder in BR1 tho, in a world of 20 rounders this seems out of place.
The Sten, M3 grease gun, MP34 an the Japanese s1-100 are 32 rounds, all BR1 smgs and have a higher rate of fire…pretty much all factions. A 40 rounder wouldn’t be terribly out of place.
M3 Grease gun is a very under appreciated submachine gun, its basically a pseudo assault rifle with how little dispersion and how much damage it has so the low fire rate and low muzzle velocity are really a fair trade off.
