Don't you think Gaijin should take note of some examples?

while navy would be cool for mods…

i can’t see having benefits in the base game.

like… are you gonna have a boat squad similar to the apc?

with the downdies of never being able to use the ship due to water maps being non existants.

pasific maps and normandy dont water maps ?

cool.

a designated squad for 2 maps.

yet their pool is filled with normandy, battle of the bulge and other maps where the closest water there is, is a river.

unfortunately u cant really compare these maps to enlisted

in scope, enlisted maps are much smaller

even BFV, the most comparable WW2 shooter did not have massive boat combat with ships like this. it had speed boats

a cool thing would be being able to deploy on a boat and attack dday this way, to give more time to German defenders and produce a much more realistic / interesting dday map

If you’re asking about the players’ rallypoint ship that could be it too.

no…

i’m saying it has very few applications within the current game.

Could ships that can fire 200-400mm cannons over miles and also transport fighter jets to combat be useless in the game?

I think that would be good too, because War Thunder has tons of warships.

sorry man, but they have a seperate game mode for warships, to my knowledge tanks and war ships don’t fight in the same matches together

while i do think more could be done to cinematically benefit the game by starting many invasion style matches from the water, i don’t think adding warships would do anything which artillery does not do

How is that supposed to work? You spawn in somewhere in the baltic see and are told go figure out where berlin is?

Because War Thunder doesn’t have infantry anyway, this is a mod made entirely from Gaiji’s perspective, whereas in other video games, infantry, tanks, aircraft, and warships can all clash on the same map.

yes

since it’s mostly about infantry objectives.

it can only work for custom gamemodes ( which we will never be getting. look at war thunder. 12 years of the same shit. and here, will be no different most likely )

or mods.

… which also we won’t be getting sincie it doesn’t reflect their " long term visual " ( whatever the hell that means )

even if i like them, they have no place outside mods.
… which mod scene has been dead for quite some time.

and only thouly shines thanks to bazsi37 with the custom maps sdks and many others trying to make it inteterestring to provide something else in enlisted.

… but the official support has been dropped for indefinitely.
we ain’t even getting QOLs.

but that’s for another time.

My friend, I didn’t say Berlin or Moscow, I was just talking about maps where ships could engage in battle, for example, the Pacific, or the Normandy, or the Italian landings, or others.

yea, other games have this and have maps built to support this style of gameplay

enlisted maps are pretty small, and do not support a total combined arms element style of combat

even some maps, especially on normandy, struggle to support tank combat, so adding ships to this would not add much apart from additional artilllery spam

So you equip a squad that 9 times out of 10 is just unable to be spawned in… Great game design.

So why is Gaijin War Thunder planning to add infantry? Why is the enlisted forgotten?

because they are running out of ideas.

and war thunder can only " function " for so far before they run out of vehicles.

no wonder why they be getting slandered with copy and paste accusations.

they certainly aren’t beating the allegations either.

but anyway.
it’s only cold war + / modern.

… not ww2.
… yet.

““Fun fact.””

Star conflict is gonna close:

despite helpers of enlisted claiming it was all sunshines and roses.

But aircraft are unaffected can move across wider terrains than tanks and infantry.

sure, but this does not justify adding a war ship.

aircraft can move sure, but it also does not make them an optimal choice of vehicle for a lot of maps
