Don't you think Gaijin should take note of some examples?

It reminds me of the times in Shogun 2 Total War Fall of the Samurai when I moved ships to bombard the shores and called in naval bombardment during combat.

but ur comparing a strategy comparing to a FPS, on small maps

Because Gaijin didn’t add building destruction animations to the game, tanks and planes fire in vain, the defenders often win, and sometimes the invaders stand their ground, rendering the airstrikes and tank attacks wasted, especially on the Berlin and Stalingrad maps. This is unfair.

Battlefield 1942 has ship based combat including not just various battleships, but also aircraft carriers that planes would spawn on and take off of, as well it also had submarines on the same maps as land objectives for infantry and tank battles. Classic maps like Midway, Iwo Jima, Wake Island, Coral Sea, Guadalcanal have never really been matched in the modern shitty COD style battlefield games.

But BF1942 was like 25 years ago when game development was based around squeezing everything out of the hardware to make the best game available because other dev teams would make something better in 6 months.

Nowadays replay value is only important when it can be monetized. Its so weird how gaming peaked in the early 2000s and has been going backward ever since. Enlisted stands out as gold because at least it has bots, while 25 years ago it would have been unthinkable to release a multiplayer game without bots unless you wanted it to die quickly.

Yes I tried this game. I think if a game from 2000 can do this, then Gaijin should be able to do it in 2026.Moreover War Thunder had plenty of planes and even a submarine in the event.

Yes, but Enlisted is not WT and I don’t think many Enlisted players want it to be like WT. I’m pretty sure adding ships would be dead on arrival with the Dev’s. NTM, other then a few maps, there wouldn’t be a lot of places to use ships in Enlisted. South Pacific? Yeah, I guess you could have ships circling the small islands, as well as maybe ships floating off the coast of Normandy, and maybe a couple small boats floating along a river somewhere, but they would all be easy targets. They work in WT, but I don’t think they would fit in as well with Enlisted since Enlisted is for the most part, and infantry war.

I might not think adding boats and ships is a great idea, but I can’t match a shirt and pants too look good, so what do I know.

At the very least, it adds something new to the game and makes it a more universal war game. There are planes and tanks in the game, why not ships?

What do you think about these animations?Especially when your health decreases rather than increases automatically, you can heal this way by pressing a button.

First of all how are you gonna balance those ship? I mean grey zone tank is already annoying to deal with, now you suggest grey zone ship that have way better firepower and durability.

Moreover you will need much more players per match which I don’t think it is feasible unless you implement it as event or custom game.

I think so too.

Against these ships, we must also have our own ships, small boats, submarines, and we can also attack with planes. Engineers can build massive iron-turret cannons and other things.

That’s a great idea!

One example is the battle for SUKHO Island

On October 22, 1942, the Sukho Island garrison, sailors of the Ladoga Military flotilla, as well as pilots of the Leningrad, Volkhov, Karelian fronts and the Baltic Fleet repelled a German amphibious assault attempt to capture the island in order to destroy the coastal battery and lighthouse. The lighthouse served as an important landmark for Soviet ships delivering food and cargo to besieged Leningrad along the southern part of Ladoga. The enemy suffered losses in personnel, ships, and aircraft, losing the fight for the Road of Life, which ultimately influenced the outcome of the Battle for Leningrad.

the USSR

And there should be fewer Defenders than attackers in such an event, which would be interesting to me.
Make a limit on land respawn, the rest swim in the sea

The siege of Sevastopol would also be a good example for the German-Russian front.

And that too, there’s enough content there too.

I think they need to move War Thunder to Enlisted because it’s getting old and they need to get rid of ridiculous projects like Active Matter and dedicate time to Enlisting them.
