Currently I don’t have the Normandy Panther/Tiger squad unlocked.
If I buy the Normandy gold order Tiger now, will it go to the Berlin’s squad as a duplicate after the Merge?
Or will I still be able to unlock a separate squad for it later? (I guess not?)
If it is confirmed, I guess the safest way if grinding till Tanker III squad in Normandy (Panther) and then buying the gold order Tiger I for instant access?
considering that even with multiple Q&A tons of question remain unanswered, nobody knows anything.

I am sure you will just have the gold order tiger as option for your tiger squad when the merge happens. If you have the berlin tiger squad, then you will have access to a tiger squad (normandy/berlin tiger squads merging into one). I find it very hard to believe that they would allow players to use two tiger squads. This is just based on my understanding of how the merge will work.
there is their statement that players will keep everything earned, so most players assume that all squads earned will transferred. that would mean that you could theoretically have 5 german tanker 3 squads.
but that could also mean that they will transfer all soldiers and equipment from those squads to reserve and you will only have 1 tanker 3 squad available.
i have asked for clarification on how the transfer will happen (which of those 2 options will they apply) and got 0 answers. so who knows what will happen post merge.

Thanks for digging that answer up, but this information is kinda shocking. How will this be reflected in the merge I wonder. Will new players also get the ability to field multiple tigers if they unlock it in the tech tree?
Since majority of players are able to take only one vehicle, this question is kinda irrelevant anyway.
And newbies will not able to acquire two tigers, that’s my guess.
According to the same discussion, no. Only the daddies will have the luxury of 2 Tigers and such, new players won’t.

Yes, but people with premium and Stalingrad will have acces to 9 slots, probably 3 of them for a vehicles. This means - Tiger E, Tiger II P and Jagdpanther at a best.
Golden vehicle Tigers count as a normal Tigers.
More, you can have up to 6 vehicle slots when you own all 10 slots.
But all tanker squads will be reworked I think. Its nonense to have tanker III squad that can take panzer IV F2 as its best vehicle.
I domt remember their tech tree much. But I think this tank would be lower BR than its squad. Meaning you would instantly put into higher BR.
I think its very likely all current tanker III squads for Germany will be able take tigers instead. And that’s why you could have up to 3 tigers (more is irrational since you need only 3 for full squad rotation) in your setup.
Slots are most pay2win mechanics of this game. And it’s very sad they think it’s completely balanced. (Btw. And incompetent CCs like MajorMcDonald thinks it’s okay too. As you could see in his last video.
And since Keofox is extremely biased in favor to MajorMcDonalds. Most probably nothing will change in this matter. There’s is literally not a single person with relevant influence who could change it)
Btw. Even Quadro thinks f2p players needs at least two vehicle slots. But his opinion kinda irrelevant (Rightfully) since his famous try for boycotting.
I really dont understand why they kicked Bungle instead of Quadro from CC program. But imho I don’t really care.
Its hilarious their reasoning for BR system is primary balance. Meanwhile they happily ignore the biggest balance issue this game has. (btw they even want to increase number of slots for paying players instead, with introducing special bonus slots for premium units… What a joke)

What is preventing a tankers from Moscow from equipping the Tiger is that, the gold order Tigers can be used only from squads from Berlin and Normandy. And after the update you will keep all the squads and their respective vehicles.
I think that I understand what are you trying to say → that the Tanker I (the one with Panzer II) will have the possibility to use every tank in the game.
But - as it was in planned levels - there were only Tanker I, II and III (III at level 8), so I bet that the vehicles will be assigned to the squads the same way as they are now.
we dont know that. tigers could be programmed to only be available to tanker 3 squad and tanker 3 squad then check what is available to them from tanks. also we dont know how new squad system will work cause they said they will redesign it.
Tanker III is a tanker from Normandy - the one with a Panther, Tiger E and Jagdpanzer.
I think that they aware of this and will not create another squad to give people a third Tiger.
They already did create several tanker III squads for Germany, lol. The tanker squad from Normandy is not the only one.
Seems they will going to keep existing squads untouched.

Most probably yes, since helpers highly suggested to buy T-34 STZ especially to those who do not own Stalingrad bundle.
And those who do not own Stalingrad bundle mostly didn’t even bother to play Stalingrad at all, meaning they don’t own tanker squad for stz.
So I think tankers squads will be reworked in the matter of which vehicles they can take. Otherwise buying oglden order STZ would be pointless = helpers would screw up f2p players.
EDIT: Oh, I misunderstood your question. I think Berlin tanker squad will most likely be able to take Normandy golder order tiger as well. So you really don’t need to grind Normandy.
