Do not add Chinese weapons to Soviet tech tree

Logically yes, but the devs never used logic lol. An event squad with the Manchurian Imperial Army using the Type 88 was really cool.

But the devs prefer add the Type 88 to the USSR TT lol. A Squad of communist Chinese with the Type 88 would be much better.

And There are no Chinese squads in the USSR TT So we have a Chinese weapon in the TT for the Soviets use Lol

The Chineses fought in Manchuria, we don’t have a Chinese faction, so it makes sense to give to the USSR who invaded Manchuria.

I’m not going to waste my time arguing about this because we’ll never have a Finnish faction in the game.

i would like to clear up a few things
one more people call the ussr or soviet union russia

then people call the allies the us
two if the uk should be a seperate faction the soviet union should be two factions
russia and the soviet union
second just as many people say thee uk when they mean the commonwealth, these are to linked but separate things
third just as many people want the uk to be a complete faction with the commonwealth as a sub faction
pilfering both their own gear from the us while keeping us gear they never had
no you dont get to keep the bren and garand for yourself if you cant make a faction dont make one, use you can have some of the thompsons you bought and used in amounts
no the firefly is not uk or commonwealth because it has a uk gun anymore then some commonwealth planes are american because they had american guns

lets just abandon existing title and rename everyone
western and eastern allies , axis and japan or maybe even the Greater East Asuian Co operative spehere GACS
ok thats a mouth full but to put it simple i stop calling the allie the us when
a we use eastern and western allies or b people stop calling the soviet union russia

I’m not going to read all this just because I used the faction name as it appears in the game.

my point is no one uses the correct name
people call the commonwealth the uk
the soviet union russia
and the allies us
the names should be changed in game when people can get them correct consistently

The primary reason lies in the fact that there were two regimes in China during World War II: one led by the Communist Party of China, and the other being the KMT (Kuomintang) which received support under the U.S. Lend-Lease Act. This resulted in an extremely fragmented situation where a single country was governed by two regimes aligned with different political systems.

I don’t think either should be added. At most, they can be made into event weapons or event squads. The significance of this gun, whether in films or WWII simulation games, is that it has always been the primary weapon of anti-Japanese forces. Simply because Japan captured it, or because puppet troops under Japanese control were largely equipped with it, doesn’t mean we should add it to the German or Japanese tech trees—just like Germany and Japan also captured PPSh submachine guns or Browning light machine guns. That would be chaotic. For now, this weapon should only be available as an event or premium item. It can be added to the Chinese faction’s tech tree when the right time comes.

Or rather, it should have been something that everyone expected to see as an event squad or premium squad—but instead, it’s actually become the only thing added to the Soviet tech tree in this update. It feels like they took a great opportunity and messed it up completely. It’s as if the developers didn’t want to give the Soviet faction anything substantial, so they threw in something trivial to get by.

The Bren (Brno-Enfield) is a British gun and was never officially used by the United States. Why shouldn’t a Commonwealth faction use the Bren when it’s a British gun produced in britain?

And why should the british get garands only the home guard were issued them. So the uk never used the garand any more than the us used brens. I am all for unique weapons but it goes both ways. If the us does not get brens the UK does not get garands. That’s my point I would love to see two factions but only so far as one faction does not take its toys and there allies.

A little late to the party, but:

That’s still not a combat action.

Got more examples of non-combat situation to prove that they fought together to share…?

Or maybe another joint combat situation that happened after the war was over, to spice things up…?

You said the Commonwealth can’t keep the Bren when they produced it. And I was questioning that because that’s rather daft

No my point is if you separate the uk and us tech trees the uk only gets to keep it’s weapons and the few us weapons it used. There are some people who want to do both take the uk weapons out of the us tree and keep the best us weapons.

I know bro.

Idk man, I as chinese want some sort of representation in game, no matter how

I respect your desire for representation.

And I would be absolutely happy to see something like Campaigns 2.0 with China vs Japan from Shanghai to Changsha and from Wuhan to Nanjing.

But sorry I’m totally not a fan of someone else’s representation at the cost of my fun – no Chinese soldiers/weapons ever fought as part of red army, and this feels like cash grab BS.

I recon they put something like campaign locks where if there is chinese weapons (that haven’t been used by anyone in USSR) limited chinese maps? Idk

China is not large enough to warrant a full faction, so something like USSR sub faction would work.

Just implement correct weapon allocation ( already kinda ruined I just played IS-2 is Stalingrad yesterday)

You got suggestions mate?

No such lock exists.

Chinese troops armed with Chinese weapons have been fighting in Europe and North Africa for a year now. It’s rather a bit silly.

I really don’t get this take, to be honest.

Maybe it’s recency bias where China and Russia are partners or communist connections where USSR and PRC were allies that influence this, but during WW2 China was absolutely not a subfacion of USSR.
USSR even fluctuated between CPC and KMT frequently.
The Red Army never had any joint operations or military cooperation with any Chinese force in WW2.

To me, seeing Chinese soldiers in Berlin is like seeing African Zulu Warriors during the Vietnam war.
Makes equally zero sense.

Basic requirement - not adding Chinese soldiers/weapons to USSR (zero connection).

Wishful thinking - Campaigns 2.0 with shared player pool, BRs and a Chinese faction.

@warner7 do not listen them, we participate high in Manchuria, just a fanatics can not agree with docs and memories. Do not bump a topic. Better create one to support some more good chinese gear in game for a su faction. Best regards, friend!
