Desertion penalties

If you don’t want people deserting games, might I suggest balancing the battles joined better. I just played 11 straight matches where I an ALWAYS defending, and two I was thrown into battles already in progress where the team has ALREADY lost the first point…and you wonder why people desert?? Now I have a penalty because I’m sick of it?

They should just reward players who stick around.

And I’m not talking about giving you 50 Silver.

People dislike punishment much more than they like rewards. That means penalties are much more effective.

Not in this case it appears.

The majority of people who regularly desert have nothing left to grind for. How do you punish someone effectively who doesn’t care about silver, XP or RP gain?

Give them a time out period, send them to the naughty step for 24hr etc…

Not really, a lot of people leave anyways because they don’t need silver anymore

You cannot kill that which has no life…

the desertion penalties were the stupidist thing.

If they don’t need silver how is the reward supposed to help either….

add a multiplier bonus for people who have the most kills on the objective. x 1.5

Everyone cares about silver due to veteran boxes

Add a special profile picture or name decorator for people who beat four stacks on their own.

Penalties have so far been fairly ineffective at stopping desertion, however Gaijin has “NEVER” tried to incentivize people into actually sticking around in the game, so assuming penalties are more effective is speculation.

I have a better idea, just remove three and four stacks from normal matches.

Any evidence in this? Cuz enlisted reported drastically reduced numbers.

And you believe everything the Dev’s tell you? Please show me the report of the drastically reduced numbers? Still, they haven’t tried incentives, so my response to your penalties are more effectives is still just speculation. If they haven’t tried incentives, then you don’t know which would be better.

Well I have my own personal observation along with confirmation by the devs. What do you have.

Well, that’s good enough for me, your practically a Dev then.

Again. What evidence do you have? Cuz I have both. So you’re gonna need more than anecdotal evidence to be sufficient.
