Deserters

imagine being in a real war

During World War II, there were no voice communication systems that allowed every soldier to engage in direct two-way radio conversation.

Nearly every time that player is loosing, he start to desert. Noone can tell me, that every time when he is loosing he has “connection issue” (but ofc only when he is loosing).

From 105 battles played he desert 42 of them because he was loosing.

Personally, I wanted platoons to be matched against other clan platoons; you have to realize that platoons break the game’s balance. I’ve often encountered platoons that are impossible to play against—I quit the match if I see one, and I recommend that every player do the same if they run into a full four-man clan platoon on the opposing team.

You’re playing a game, you’re not going to win every match, you literally sound like a sore loser.

Enjoy playing Enlisted? Okay, that’s new.

Disgusting. It’s a team game, these are cowards/narcissists. My desertion rate is 0%, and as long as I’m better than a bot it will remain 0%, because i respect other players’ time and am not gonna ditch them and leave them with a pure bot team doing nothing.

All the people saying “it’s not fun, i desert” are just saying “i want to seal club and get 200+ kills per game, to flex my epeen.” The MOST fun games I’ve played have been slogs that come down to the last tickets and are determined in the last minute. My current win rate is less than 50% (in what’s been logged on rollcall. I think I’m still slightly above 50% on all factions lifetime stats in the profile stat page).

Everything about Enlisted is a self-fulfilling prophecy. “No one plays br4 cause it’s always uptiered to br5” is true, because everyone avoids br4 because it’s always uptiered to br5, so only 10 dudes play it, so they’re always uptiered.

“This team is destined to lose because reason” desert en masse team loses.

The desertion penalty shouldn’t be -20% xp on next match, it should be if you “join match” while the match you deserted is still active, that’s the only match you have access to. Like when you have network issues and reconnect.

I desert 80% of matches nowadays - because I refuse to play Berlin or Normandy with my BR2 setup.

Also I desert almost every destruction gamemode, as a matter of fact I only really play invasion, confrontation and some conquest and assault maps.

I refuse to waste my time and will to play the game by being forced to endure stuff I dont want to play.

If i ever play solo i just want to attack but even in stacks i leave a ton because its so damn boring to play against bad players which sadly is that majority of enlisted players

People desert and the penalty isn’t enough because the entire system is broken, All desertion penalties need to be immediately scrapped. Because this yet again showed that this was not the solution, if they would work on actually balancing things more and adding the ability to reconnect to matches when you disconnect due to internet loss we would be in a much better place.

I still think we need a system in place showing what factions are hot at that moment. Yes that’s going to cause other factions to go dead for extended periods of time but at least the community will move with everybody else instead of being dispersed to dead factions in that moment and constantly losing then deserting.

If I were to take it a step further we need some sort of skill-based matchmaking system/ stack detection, Marshalls with Marshalls, stacks with stacks, etc. this doesn’t solve the problem entirely but it’ll make it significantly better.

Why should I play against a coordinated squad—a group of 4 or 7 players with a shared clan tag—who are using dedicated voice comms like Discord to control the entire match? Why should I waste my time and stress myself out over them?

Do you remember what server you queued when you found that CEO stack? ill give it a shot to try to find and destroy them with my stack

We’re talking about desertions. If you have any problems with the game’s matchmaking and how it matches solo players and players in groups, you can make a suggestion. In the meantime, my answer remains the same.

It’s a team game, so by now you should have someone to play with. The official Discord server exists, there are no excuses. If you want to play solo without stress, join a custom game against bots.

I still feel the same way about platoons either we need to combat the issues they cause, or the platoon size should be capped at 2–3 players—just like World of Tanks did a long time ago. They made that change ages ago, acknowledging that 4- or 5-player platoons ruin game balance they were right to do that, and I fully support the idea.

Quit playing the game if you don’t enjoy it… i choose to cherry pick the matches i know i will.

A true Enlisted player hates Enlisted, you embarrass me.

I don’t want to be sort of forced to be playing certain maps/campaigns and modes that I don’t like, particularly conquest, or destruction. I am sure those are also one of the reasons people choose to desert. However, I do agree with you on your offer.

Compensation is definitely deserved. There was this one intense match where I was so swamped I didn’t even have time to check the scoreboard to see who’d bailed. We lost that round; I racked up 8,000 points while the second place only had 3,000. I often keep an eye on the map, and most of my teammates are nowhere near the capture points, lingering elsewhere instead.
Hardly anyone builds respawn points either.Overwhelmed by enemy airstrikes, heavy ground fire, armored threats, and flanking ambushes from all sides.

With a premium account, I could’ve earned around 2,000 coins if we’d won with over 8,000 points.
But since we lost, my rewards got heavily discounted.

I think top players who pull such a massive point lead over everyone else deserve substantial compensation for matches like this.

Incentives to stay > punishment for leaving

However… there are still things that just suck… for example assault for a solo player with incompetent team… that is recipe for annoyance unless you are one of those who just play selfishly.
