Deserters

Just lost 2 matches back to back because 50% of my team left in the span of 5 minutes, and of course they were repleaced by useless bots. And what had the devs done about it so far? They slapped -20% exp penalty for deserters and said “Yep! that will show em!” and called it a day.
If devs don’t want to give real punishment for deserters, that’s fine by me but at least players who stick around in deserting team should be compensated. After all they are in a huge disadvantage and often lose the game.

I propose to give every single player 20-25% exp and silver boost for completing a match for EVERY single player that left their team.

Would you like to see such change in the game?

This could be easily exploited.

Desertion is a way to keep mental sanity in this game.

Game puts me in an already started battle and our team has already lost 75% of the cap => I desert

I build a rally point at the start of the game, meanwhile my team already lost the first cap, with the enemy still at 1000 tickets => I desert

My team refuses to push the cap, I am the only one building rally points for them, I constantly find myself alone in the enemy cap => I desert

Game puts me in a team with 6-8 console players, while enemy team has just 1-2 => I desert

What was map and game mode?

I’ve been playing for years and can count on one hand how many times i’ve been put in a game that was already started.

Happens to me a lot, one or more times per day, especially Conquest games, but also other modes.

ive said the same thing about giving the players that stay a bonus even if its a small one but nothing came of it.

Well, what did you expect? Players drop out of matches when they run into full platoons or end up on a weak team—there’s nothing you can do about it. They leave because they don’t want the extra stress.

I personally like the challenge (but yeah, not a fan of desertion).

I think I may have issues…

I would take 1000 silver from each one who deserts, distributing it among those who stayed until the end + what you say in the post.

What you’re saying is 10 times worse if you play on console with crossplay disabled. Believe me.

You think?

I know I have issues…

Players also do that close before the game ends to keep their winrate safe if they gonna loosing.

Simplest solution: @MajorMcDonalds @LokalHero the outcome of a match (victory / defeat) should count in general not matter if these players deserting. I see players “flexing” with 99,99% winrate after over 1.500 battles because they “never gonna loose a battle” and if I check their replays the deserting before the match finally ends as a defeat. So DEVs could easily fix this by removing that “exploit”.

And as far as I know the outcome of a match in WarThunder and also in WoT counts even if you desert. So why is Enlisted “protecting” deserters"?!

AHAHAHAHA, the console wants to force you to play with it)))
Not gonna happen. Stop playing on console, stop playing vehicles, and maybe people won’t quit. I see too many consoles - I’m out. I’m not going to carry players on my back who can’t influence the outcome of the match. And if a console also hops into a vehicle, then it’s 1000% time to leave, nothing good will come of it.

What’s the point of playing a losing game just to have silver taken away from me for leaving? I’d be better off just quitting the game altogether.

The point is to push you to stay until the end of the match, even if it’s a pain and entirely hopeless.

Why should I stress myself out going up against fully geared squads? Maybe that’s what needs to be addressed first?

That would require a large change to how matchmaking works and that’s not happening.

lol. I’m not wasting my time with a game i’m not enjoying.
