Like many weapons in enlisted, the ZB-26 has the wrong rate of fire, in game the initial rate of fire is 750 and 830 with upgrade. but in real life, the max rate of fire is 600.

So I suggest lowering the initial rate of fire to 550 and 600 with upgrade.

Can’t say whether this would be a nerf or a buff. So I guess I’ll abstain since I don’t have enough usage with it to say for sure.

It would make it more manageable for auto/burst firing accurately at ranges and hip-firing overall, but it’d hurt it in CQB where this RPM change might prove less desirable, especially against Soviet SMGs. Bipod usage would also suffer from less RPM since it solves the accuracy/handling problem.
And one can argue you can always go for the Semi-mode to achieve long range accuracy and that doesn’t really care for RPM all that much.

At short range it would be a nerf, but at medium and long range it would be a very good buff.

Germany doesn’t stand a chance against Soviet submachine guns anyway, so it wouldn’t change much.

Am I to assum that 550 is the average…?

By the by… I’d vote for the average number, but some people prefer the max plausible number to be the standard, which then gets upgraded in game… That aught to be an option in the poll.

Also, second side-track, Inwish the RoF upgrade was removed from the game… I need to resubmit my old suggestion for it…

Agree, I should have considered this option.

I wouldn’t see a problem since most upgraded weapons achieve a rate of fire they never had.

By the way, the game modifies the rate of fire of upgraded MG by x1.10 (rounded to closest 10).

Meaning that if the standard value was 500, then upgraded it would become 550.

If it was 550, then upgraded would be 610.

If 600, then 660.

Edit: Maths adjusted according to Valkay’s correction.

Everything should be as accurate as it can possibly be

This is a change that appease both gameplay and balance and realism so I’m all for it.

Actually
The upgrades are slightly different acrosa weapon classes.
1,15x is only true for SMG and bolties/AT rifles, all other automatic weapons (except ARs which get no fire rate upgrade) get 1,10x

This is what happens when you’ve been working on British SMG designs for too long.

“No, please, let me do one more… It’ll be thr last this time…”

Well I don’t know.

I like the ZB-26 right now, reducing its fire rate would feel like a Bren with only 2/3 of the ammo.

At least with the high firerate it has something for it that no other axis MG has at BR2.

Is this where I come in…?

“That’s what it is.”

Well, devs could buff reload, lower sprint penalty or reduce dispersion on the move to balance out the fire rate change.

It has excessive ROF right now, so lowering it can be considered as a buff with no further tweaks needed

Regardless, Zb26 needs something that makes it different from a nerfed Bren, doesn’t it?

Maybe the ZB-26 could also receive some minor buffs to compensate for the lowered rate of fire, so it doesn’t become so bad.

Germany also needs a good LMG in TT BR2 anyway.

The MG 13 hype is overrated…?

Personally, I run the MG 34/35, and I really like it. But, I might be biased when it comes to this gun ( :sweden: ).

It’s also not tech tree, of course.

I’ve always thought this weapon was overrated, or maybe I’m just bad with this weapon

Now I’ve corrected it, I forgot to mention it was on TT.
