The Lewis Gun Home Guard as of the 2nd iteration of the “Off-Road Patrol” test server has a cyclic rate of 600 rounds per minute upgraded. However, it is modeled with the Hazelton Device, a muzzle booster that increased the rate of gas operation of the weapon, resulting in a cyclic rate of 800-850 rounds per minute.
The weapon in-game is modeled after this modified Lewis Model 1914. British-produced Lewis Guns with Hazelton Devices are seemingly uncommon, but there are all sorts of modified Lewis Guns for the Home Guard. Regardless, the Hazelton Device would absolutely increase the cyclic rate of this weapon.
I believe 800 base rate of fire is sufficient, resulting in an upgraded cyclic rate of 880. This post is focused on historical correction, any discussion of balance would be after the weapon is corrected.
