Complete rework for handguns

Were do i start? handguns need to be buffed, first off there to expensive to buy unless your play the Wallhack Campaign, they have no zoom which makes them impossible to aim, and dont do enough damage to justify the low capacity.

How to improve them:

  • Adjust price to 1 siver order like Pacific.

  • Increase the amout of flinch handguns cause.

  • Decrease damages dropoff ranges.

  • Add zoom so they dont fell akward and hard to use.

  • Increase the Rate of fire of Auto-Loading handguns.

  • Make them upgradeable and make it cheap to upgrade them.

  • Make them one handed use (for historical accuracy).

  • Add more handguns, there aren’t enough.

The damage of most hand gun are fine, why did you expect from a small gun with short barrel to do much damage?

Handgun is a personal defense weapon that are use as last resort, you are not suppose to fire at long range target.

People rarely use it, adding more is more likely waste of time.

Nah, I don’t think they need rework. There are too many things more important than this currently.

no its not, IRL you wouldnt have to dump a entire clip into a single person to kill them, even if its a TK1926’s 6.35mm tiny bullet

This is a game not real life. Besides that, the handgun in the game only have slightly lower damage than its smg counterpart that have much longer barrel, so it is fine. You can’t expect handgun to have same damage as smg.

Only two things are needed

  • Lower dispersion
  • Make all single-action revolvers into double-action revolvers (where applicable) LOOKING AT YOU NAGANT

The double action trigger on the Nagant is 20 lbs and it will cause you to jerk the gun off target it was so bad

barrel length doesnt matter, what really matters is making the pistol more useful, there already has been a improvement as opposed to before, but you still end up dumping a clip into one soldier, which is kinda bs if you’re dealing with alot of them

Pistol is not a main weapon, no point of making it as useful as a main weapon.

The pistol shouldn’t be used as a main weapon in the first place, if you want to deal with a lot of enemy, you should use your main weapon.

if you get into a situation where you have to use your pistol, but it doesnt do anything, what do you do then?

Lol, why not just replace the pistol slot with a main weapon slot since you want pistol to be as powerful as main weapon.

i never said i want it to be as powerful as main weapon, i just dont like spending a entire clip on 1 soldier, it should be 2-3 at most, not 7-8

It have only slightly less damage than sub machine gun, if you are using 7-8 it means that you are missing some shots or fire from too far away.

im about 1-10 meters away from the enemy soldiers when i use the pistol, i dont know if its a de-sync issue or what, but i gotta take 5 chest shots to down 1 enemy soldier, i dont ever try to snipe enemies with a pistol

Just tested it in a custom match using German p08 and p38 with 5.5 damage in 10m. It only takes 2-3 round to down a soldier.

gunplay of all pistols is terrible no difference is noticeable

The first step they need to do is make pistols cheaper. People will use them more if theyre actually more affordable. I get the whole “oh it was only for officers” but lets be real, a majority of people dont care about that.

As I get my japanese army equiped, I find myself using pistols more as I build the muscle memory to draw it quickly when needed. Not all pistols are that bad, but some definitely need to get some love.

You missed one major thing:
You should be able to use a handgun when Downed in an attempt to defend yourself.

This would be a cool idea, would like to see it added as a perk.

NO BECAUSE WHEN I DOWN A BOT WITH A SMG AND I START SHOOTING AT ANOTHER PLAYER IM GOING TO GET SHOT TO DEATH INSTANTLY WITH NO TIME TO REACT.

Its a good idea on paper though
