n 1940, the 28th Maori Battalion was established as part of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force (2NZEF). The battalion was attached to the 2nd New Zealand Division and moved between the division’s three infantry brigades. The battalion fought during the Greek, North African and Italian campaigns, earning a formidable reputation as a fighting force which both Allied and German commanders have acknowledged. It became the most-decorated New Zealand battalion during the war. Following the end of hostilities, the battalion contributed a contingent of personnel to serve in Japan as part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force before being disbanded in January 1946.

THe Maori whi like many non-Europeans of the commonwealth had to prove there meddle in a newly formed unit. both would go on to prove thee worth fighting on many of ww2’S toughest battlefields.

I love the Italians, Germans, American, Brits, Russian, Japan’s units of WW2. but neesin NZ, Canada, Ireland, France, India, Romani, Mongolia, China, France ECT ect in the game just adds to it. Seeing one of these units in the game with there rare carbine would just be cool. BR1 of course as its just a 5 round bolt action carbine.
I’m +1 for all of it, but starting with Canada. 10% of our total population was involved with the war, and we had our own dday beach landing. There are guns and vehicles in game already that were manufactured in Canada, and no Canadian squads (to my knowledge. I don’t know every event and premium squad).
No offence meant i was just looking for a unique variant, the trouble is outside the ross rifles, Canada used stock British/US rifles, if wrong id be happy to know.
thanks, yeah Canada was crucial to d day having their own beaches, and be willing for a second go after the first try, didn’t go well 1942 Dieppe Raid.
