Clausius 1895 automatic pistol : r/ForgottenWeapons

The Clausius 1895 automatic pistol was designed with a long-recoil system and a rotating bolt. The bolt locking lugs are cut in a helical shape with matching grooves in the breech, which helps to keep the bolt locked during recoil travel. The bolt rotates to unlock, freeing the barrel and allowing it to be pushed forward to its resting position. The pistol was tested by the Swiss Army around 1895 but was rejected and remained unadopted.

The Clausius 1895 is a prototype German pistol designed around 1895 . It features a long-recoil system with a rotating bolt, which remains open until a lever is pressed to release it. The design was tested by the Swiss Army but was ultimately rejected due to various issues, including impracticality of the floating chamber system. The exact bullet size for the Clausius 1895 is not specified in the available sources, but it is known to be a .45-70 caliber .

I love pistols but they suffer from low damage and small magazines. then there are those that burn through ammunition and loose out to smgs. which they should being a side arm and not a primary. one of the few exceptions is the double barrel shotgun. This beast like the chopped down oberz smg and nagat rifle are not side arms or are not in the game. The Clausius is design from the outside to be a pistol with a magazine and what looks like rifle caliber ammunition. i would love to see this added to the game for snipers only giving them punch up close. an event weapon of course that could make it more fun to play as a sniper.

I’m all for new content—it’s definitely coming in the future, we just don’t know when exactly. That’s way better than having Browning and Colt weapons flooding every faction with nothing but a gold or silver finish like they might do later
