Found this January 1945 picture of a Tanker crew using a chopped M1 Carbine and thought it might be a cool weapon to add, although I am sure this request would be DOA with the Dev’s along with damn near every other suggestion I have submitted in the past several years. But I thought it might be a cool addition as an event gun. event squad or maybe used in the pistol slot. My guess is it was pretty rare and probably only used by tank crews along with their Grease guns.

If the artillery luger can fit into the pistol slot, then why not this

If the mosin can fit in the pistol slot why not? It’s the same type of weapon just cut down, don’t really matter if it’s semi or not just if it was rifle sized.

I’m all for it, just make it a event weapon like the mosin is.

Not to mention that we have a sawed off shotgun that fits into the pistol slot. :wink:

problem is, you might have people asking for the JP m2 obrez to be a pistol too

This should be the individual actions of the soldiers. It is extremely rare.
However

In our game, there is only one experimental weapon, and even the weapons depicted in the blueprint exist. There really is no reason to deny it.

I doubt that the sawed off M1 would be of any use at all.
Damage would be nerfed to pistol levels the velocity aswell and given the past history of how DF handles sawed offs the sights would be gone aswell.
So in the end you just end up having a worse M1911 which already isnt great compared to just useing a primary instead.

Also do we really need a forth pistol even in a row?

That is true, but I can see the JP M2 as a gold order. Not in the pistol slot but for a main weapon slot, similar to how the rpk was for the soviets. 15 rounds and the ability to use all of your ammo and be empty after about 3-4 seconds.

Not that I think we need that, but it seems like it would fit best in a “could we pull it off correctly” type of way.

The front sight is gone if you cut off the barrel of an M1 carbine.
