I’ve noticed the math, and it’s cheaper to hand pick squads you want when on sale than get this poorly thought out random expensive thrift mart goo box. *I’ve spent money.
I agree with you Reines1 regarding the math. I bought some gold boxes got some stuff, but stopped because I’d spent more than the squad I was hoping for is worth, hopefully the colt monitor squad goes up for sale again at some point.
Okay, it seems anyone who has bought the gold coin lottery box knows what I’m talking about, so I don’t need to explain further.
No, the discount only allows you to buy one team, while the Gold Chest can give you two. Although you can’t specify the faction, the price of the chest is proportional to the loot it contains. Only those who want to try their luck would complain that the Gold Chest is full of junk.
Germany store

Japan store

USA store

Soviet store

Totally not an intended feature designed to confuse players and scam them in wasting gold on another fool box.
Another reminder to post in English only in this forum…
It’s funny to read comments about how Gaijin is taking something away by taxing what those who are most outraged already bought with gold. So buying an overpriced squad is ok - but buying a helmet for 120gold is not okay. That’s funny ![]()
Personally, I spent hundreds on this game just for collecting. If I can buy what I want, I will. Gold chest is a very cool addition for those who are just pure collectors.
The ONLY thing that must be done is a nation based gold chest. Because being a GE main, I have no desire to pay for Soviet junk that I don’t use. If they implemented it, I would have no complaints about this loot box.
Well, buying the squad should give you the right to own this helmet to begin with.
Not really.
I think gacha is a shit monetization mechanic. Would make Tencent proud.
Yet, I’m a super whale. Got all slots unlocked, got all premiums I’m interested in (it’s… a LOT) and I got all event squads, I’m pretty much perma premium… etc.
I’m against randomness especially because those scummy snails removed the choice based shop before.
Crass.
Don’t even mention Tencent in Guangdong; they’re nowhere near Enlisted. Enlisted genuinely provides players with real benefits and rewards, while Tencent in Guangdong just wants to squeeze money out of players, then try to shut down the servers and use the same tricks to scam money from other games. That’s why I prefer foreign games to those from Guangdong—domestic games lack a sense of contract and are extremely stingy with players. More importantly, Chinese minors who enjoy playing Enlisted often offer irresponsible suggestions for improvement, just to get in-game benefits without spending money. Clearly, after this Golden Chest update, those freeloaders who only wanted in-game benefits without spending money quit because they didn’t get any advantage from the Golden Chests. If the probability of opening a Golden Chest remained stable, I might buy several hundred yuan worth of Golden Chests after I get paid. This would benefit both Enlisted’s future development and me, a team collector. This method of selling teams is more profitable than simply offering discounts because the more Golden Chests you buy, the lower the price of each team becomes
Only differnce is squad availablity. Some sqauds rarely show up in store
And being able to choose what you get. I don’t want to spend several hundred gold to get something ass like the M3 field mod squad
Along with ones that haven’t… i was able to acquire PZ 3N, 109 G6 30mm and Jagdpanther which i don’t think they had any intention on returning… for perhaps valid reason.
I agree with the separate nation gold box’s idea, ideally however the event and perm items would be available for appearance orders and gold especially if you already own the squad. Overall though having such a high chance of getting cosmetics in the chests is just bloat, separate nation chests would mean at least you have a better chance of getting something you don’t mind gambling gold on.
Same should be for silver chests. Keep percentages the same (they’re bad, increase them, but whatever…) but restrict the nation-locked prizes to the selected nation when box is purchased.
Personally I “play all” but I’m more fond of Germany and Japan, then sometimes USA, and rarely USSR.
For people who are “USA Mains” for example, the chance of winning a squad isn’t 1%, it’s 0.25%, because 3/4 of the time that you win a squad, with 1 percent chance, it’s a squad you will never play and didn’t want. So it’s reeeeaaaaly bad odds.
I pulled 2 squads this silver box, and they’re both pretty good. USSR federov paras, and USA silenced sten. But mostly i like to play germany and Japan, so these are…not my first choice, even if they’re good in their context.
Seems like many people don’t understand the concept of gamble.
And in their delusion, they would probably expect that each individual item in that box would be worth more than the price of the box itself.
Which is absolutely ridiculous.
It is pretty simple. If you’re not satisfied with the contents which you know in advance (and you also know the drop rate), just ignore that box.
But from my perspective, what most of the complainers here are advocating is completely naive.
Bro that squad is soo fun to use, I love it
It’s also basically a TT gun in a smaller less useful squad. A TT qun that isn’t worth using in the first place because it shares the same BR as the M1A1 Thompson. While the Field mod is BR1 it’s also BR1 which I don’t and probably never will play again.
No I liked the box (got some good stuff) but I want better odds for what i want ergo what OSTLAND suggested: separate boxes for each nation, if I’m going to waste gold on a chance to get pants make sure their for a nation I care about (I like them all but USA and Japan more). I don’t want/ need items that are worth more than I gambled but it’s nice to be gambling over stuff you care about. Call me naive, I know but don’t you want better of Enlisted too? ![]()
You are right, this is probably a reasonable demand.
