Changes needed to the zwillingssockel AA mount on the premium kubelwagen

What changes are you interested in for the zwillingssockel on the premium kubelwagen ?
  • Keep the model as it is but increase the ammo capacity to 300 rounds “per mag” (150 rounds per gun)
  • Keep the current ammo count of 100 rounds “per mag” (50 rounds per gun) but change the model to replace the ammo boxes by the corresponding 50 rounds drum mags
  • Increase the elevation/depression angles to -14°/+73°
  • Change nothing and keep it as it is

I’ll try to be short on this one.

I have noticed two things that were wrong on the zwillingssockel on the premium kubelwagen.

First, what is the zwillingssockel ? A short presentation :

It was a light AA mount for two MG34 MGs. The two MG34 installed on this mount could even sometimes be taken straight from the field and be mounted on it. As we all know, the MG42 was supposed to replace the MG34 and both guns were interchangeable in most (but not all) situations, which means that the zwillingssockel could also be equipped with two MG42. Generally, the two MGs on this mount were fed by two Patronenkasten 36 ammo boxes that contained 150 rounds each, but as I said, these MGs could be taken straight from the field, and they could still be equipped with their 50 round drum mag, or even the Patronentrommel double drum mag (75 rounds) for the MG34 specifically. Sometimes the stocks of the MGs intalled on this mount could be removed to give more space to the gunner. This mount was an AA mount, so obviously it had a great elevation angle. This mount was installed on a variety of vehicles, trailers, or even in fixed emplacements. It was also mounted on the kubelwagen. I tried to find pics of this installation, but could only find a short video showing it:

Now, here are videos of the thing as it is right now in the game:

As you can see, there are two problems:

-First, the “mag size” is only 100 rounds, which means that each gun only has 50 rounds, but the model in the game shows that both guns are fed by the Patronenkasten 36 ammo boxes that contain 150 rounds each, which would mean a “mag size” of 300 rounds, and not the 100 rounds as it is incorrectly depicted right now in the game.
-Second, the elevation is quite poor at the moment, but the zwillingssockel was an anti-air mount, and wasn’t really made to shoot at infantry only.

Now, here are the things that can be done:

  1. The devs can simply increase the ammo count of the “mag” accordingly to the model, which means 300 rounds, and not 100 rounds OR if they don’t want to change the ammo count in the “mag”, they can simply change the model of the guns to give them the 50 rounds drum mag model to be accurate.

  2. Simply increase the elevation/depression angles to the more historical -14°/+73°, which would make it more accurate and give it quite a unique gameplay

To prove my point, here are additional pics and my sources:
Pics of the Patronenkasten 36, which can hold 150 rounds, as you can see, it is significantly bigger than the 50 round drum mag we all know:

My sources for the elevation/depression angles. Note: I had my doubts about these statements, but I found historical pics that leave little doubt.

As you can see, we can clearly see the two machine guns with the easily recognizable AA sight.

Now, some additional pics with different configurations:
Twin MG34, with and without buttstocks (with Patronenkasten 36 on the pic without the buttstocks):

Nice, thanks. But there is still the insufficient elevation problem.
