Very simple. Change the weapon which is BRIV to a different one more in the level of the squads actual power… for example the other one hermann goering division is equipped with MP40s
There is no reason for a squad that is honestly BR1 worthy having a BRIV weapon… and this will encourage players who for some unknown reason buy it to play in 4.
As to buy it you either have to be looking to have fun on your own accord or braindead whale… in which case there are plenty of timmies who buy X BR4-5 squad with their birthday money with nothing but bolties besides the one squad… don’t need any more of that.

Yeah it seems odd that they give a BR 1 motorcycle a BR 4 weapon. This is how new players get baited into unintentional uptiers.
On the other hand it is nice sometimes to get some fully upgraded weapons to use later on with other classes.

you can change their weapons though.
much like the premium german Ks750, the japanese bike with the type 11, the british Northon E. Big 4 and the soviets M72 with Ds39, all their weapons are interchangeable.

I think the point he’s trying to make is it catfishes new players into being uptiered into higher BR matches.

well, it states that it’s a br I squad, i’m sure one can figure out to swap out the weapons when they see it suddenly becomes IV… no ?
i think it’s a good thing that you can obtain high br smgs fully upgraded.
… but truth be told, i don’t really see many people buying a bike over tanks and what not.
considering people have limited slots, they aren’t going to buy a bike.

Fair point, but you’d be surprised at how confused new players get with the UI, BR system and buying of premium squads. The amount of times I’ve had to explain to a new player that he can’t buy the Thompson 100 paratroopers or the silenced StG squad yet otherwise he’s going to suffer is quite frequent.
How many times have you seen a BR 1 tank in a BR 5 game because you know that new player has unlocked a BR 5 event weapon? Hell I spoke to someone the other day who had been playing for 6 months and he had no Idea what the BR system even was.

i suppose a suggestion regarding a system that sees players level and warns them of uptier because of one or few more items are higher than the rest would help.

My reason for voting against it is that the final battle of this historical squad took place in Berlin, and the Berlin campaign happens to be ranked at Tier 4. Of course, for newbies, if they can’t adapt to the brutal fighting in Berlin, they’d be better off switching to lower-tier weapons as soon as possible.
Berlin is literally in all BRs including BR 1 & 2.
The Battle of Berlin is more likely to occur at Tier 1-2, but it’s only suitable for regular rifle squads and militia squads. The Tier 4 Battle of Berlin is much more brutal, with the battlefield becoming a chaotic mess, rather than the low-level bolt-action series
Id rather see them buff medic squads in general.
They were supposed to be “cool new assaulters” but they clearly lack the manpower to rival assaulters.

What would you suggest to buff them? They are essentially useless because the TTK is so fast that you rarely get to heal or revive anyone.
My only suggestion would be to maybe give them a slot for an ammo or grenade pouch. But that’s as far as I can think of.
The squad itself is smaller, since medics are weaker assaulters, the squad itself should get bigger.

Same format as an assaulter squad but instead of 4 assaulters it has 4 medics?

For example, yes.
Or they give all medic squads something else that makes them special - like per default having 2 MG gunners.
I feel like that would be too good then 
i think identical to an assault squad but with medics replacing assualters would be best.
I should also use my 50 MP40s and MP38s that are collecting dust for over 2 years now… well I however hate to see Soviets with armor and PPS43 win a single undeserved match, so I wont.
