Change the Rate of Fire System

Currently upgraded weapons achieve higher rate of fire than real life counterparts, because the stock weapons come with the correct rate of fire.

I propose stock weapons get reduced rate of fire with upgraded weapons finally getting the full historical rate of fire. This will reduce the speed of which soldiers get killed especially at high BRs and you wont burn through the mags as fast.

or just remove the fire rate upgrade from automatic weapons.

The to restore historical authenticity without disrupting game balance

I do agree that this would be a good alternative, I honestly think they need to recheck every weapon category and rethink what each of the upgrades should do. A few of the weapon upgrades on some pieces of equipment are absolutely useless to upgrade and it’s current form is just creating a false sense of accomplishment for three starring a weapon without actually gaining three full upgrades. Let’s look at the PTRD for example, It has a fire rate buff to a weapon that can’t have the fire rate modified since it’s a single shot weapon. Not even the reload is changed after getting the upgrade.

That’s just one example of a broken system.

Yes, that’s the best way to nerf SF rifles without killing them.

SF rifles wont get too much nerf that way.
That 10% increase they get doesnt change much IMO.
The problem is still the one hit kill.

Wel if you remember what the recoil pattern looked like in pre-merge Stalingrad, when the devs can go with that and apply it to all the SF rifles except for the AKT-40 and fedorov rifle which both are already hard to control
