Most machine guns in game require the horizontal recoil perk on console. The soldiers don’t have enough perk points to select this perk after the fact and the squad screen shows this perk on it misleading consumers. The suggestion is very simple. The snail should fix this false advertisement by either giving these soldiers the same pre-selected perks that are shown or by atleast giving them enough perk points to select the perks advertised on the screen.
A lot of people seem to not understand, for clarification, at 5 stars they only get 15 points in weapon handling. They cannot select it even if you level them up to 5 stars, nor even if you delete the reload perks.
Further clarification, the vote is really for either giving them the horizontal recoil perk OR increasing to 16 points to select it yourself. Thought i explained it in suggestion and thought it was too long of a title.
I’m not sure I’m following you here. You shared a picture of a soldier in your squad who’s not fully leveled up, thus don’t have all the perk points he can have. Also, because he’s not at a 5 Star rating or level, the bottom perks are locked anyways.
You can do the math from the first screenshot showcasing the squad for sale. They come with 16 mobility, 23 vitality, and only 15 weapon handling (the horizontal recoil perk cost 16 weapon handling points).
You can refer to the second screenshot of the premium soldier in squad (this is how they come after purchase). The vitality perk is currently unlocked from the start even though it’s a 4 star soldier because it was a pre-selected perk.
(Also just FYI, at 4 stars, you can just add 6 perk points to each category to get the final perk allotment.)
I see, I just quickly checked Quadro’s video on it and yes, they do in fact have 15 points in the Weapon section. So, you have my vote. LOL
Since those are just “optimal perks” to give, I’d rather they just give us a blank canvas with enough perk points do to as advertized to what’s “optimal”.
I’ve always been under the impression that the listed “optimal perks” are in fact the pre-selected ones they come with. I’m not sure why else they would even be there. The wording “optimal perks give” is very loose and could be interpreted differently, like they are already given to the soldiers. Either way i find this to be false advertising. Thanks for your support.
It is. LOL. They say that a perk is optimal for them but you don’t have enough perk points to give that to them. They either need to give you that SINGLE PERK POINT (which would be the option to make people happy) or remove that “-30% horizontal recoil” from the list-
Problem with this option is people like myself already bought it with the current advertising, if this would hold up in court, then the only option would be giving them 16 weapon handling
They have 15 weapon handling points. You can’t pick it yourself even with deleting the pre-selected perks. I thought this was obvious, but guess not. Thanks for trying to help though
Do you really think i would of wasted my time over this if i could, they get 15 weapon handling at 5 stars. Thanks for trying to help though. I’m saying they should either come with it or get enough perk points to select it yourself, because it’s advertised on the squad screen. The vote “yes” is really for either or. I just thought that was too long of a title, and i had literally explained that in the last sentence above the vote.
Is this a typo? They definitely can’t get it as of right now atleast. No clue if they used to get it before it left the shop. There’s been supplied evidence of such throughout this thread, but I’ll say it again, they only get 15 weapon handling points, the perk cost 16…-.-
This thread has been quite shocking. It goes to show there’s a ton of people out there that have no clue about basic game principles/mechanics.
Not trying to insult people who don’t know, just saying it’s become very obvious the game needs to implement more in-depth tutorial pop ups and in-game education.
Hmm, thanks for adding further evidence that it should be changed. Here’s how they come currently with their return sale.
Looks like they’re mobility and weapon handling stats have been switched around. I assumed there was a chance they came with different perk points prior to their departure from the game store and were reintroduced differently. I’m almost positive this has been done before.
After seeing this weird issue with this squad, we discussed premium squads in general, since a lot of them do have less than 16 perk points on some categories, so we forwarded changing that
