In my opinion, these captured weapons could be used by Asano Brigade and added as a premium squad.
As for their weapons, here are two options that is not in game.
Fedorov Avtomat 1923
I know this sketch is already discussed in other topics, but after looking for other Fedorov’s variants, I found that it’s more like the Fedorov Avtomat 1923 and not the 1925.
The 1923 is the later version of the Fedorov Avtomat, the reason I am sure it’s a 1923 is because it has a front sight cover, different rear sight, and the cleaning rod is removed. Here are some pictures of the 1923.
The SVD-33 is sniper version of the SVD-30, it’s a 5 shot semiauto rifle.
Specifications:
Weight(with scope): 5.58 kg
Length:1170mm
Scope: PE(3.87x)
Reload:5 round stripper clip
Additionally, the Japanese Technical Headquarters compiled an operating manual for the Degtyaryov machine gun — ソ軍「デクチャレフ」式軽機関銃説明書 昭16.8 — ‘Manual for the Red Army's Degtyaryov light machine gun, August 1941.’
In addition, there was an unusual hybrid of the DA and DP-27 fitted with ZB-26 bipods. According to some accounts, this specimen was modified by pro-Japanese collaborationists, presumably the Wang Jingwei forces, and subsequently captured by the Chinese 4th Army.
There is also a photograph of the AVS-36 from the photo album of the 26th Infantry Regiment.
Furthermore, during the trials, the rifle demonstrated a rate of fire of 400 rounds per minute. According to the Encyclopedia of Kovrov Weapons (1918–1966), the AVS prototype had a cyclic rate of roughly 500 rounds per minute. The rifle itself entered pilot production in 1933. Based on the captured weapons photo album, the serial number of the captured rifle was “6936” (out of 65,800 produced). Consequently, this was an early specimen that apparently possessed its own idiosyncrasies affecting its rate of fire.
Regarding Fedorov, it doesn’t look bad; since it’s a different model, I agree. What wouldn’t work for me would be simply copying from the Soviet version without any modifications. But as it is, it’s quite acceptable. Also, to make it more unique and emphasize that it’s a trophy, they could implement a reload system with 5 rounds and reduce the BR to 4BR. This would all serve to emphasize that the developers aren’t blindly copying weapons based solely on the fact that they were trophies.
But I’m категорически against the SVD 33; Japanese self‑loading rifles have their own mounting points for optical sights, and it’s obvious that it’s better to give them a domestic self‑loading sniper rifle than a captured one.
Yeah, they could get the Kokura 7.7 Rifle and Type Otsu rifle with scope for their TT.
The reason I suggest SVD-33 is because it’s a pretty rare weapon to be captured, that’s why I thinks it’s should be a premium squad weapons.
