Currently, Japan has only one mortar, the Type 89 Mortar. While this mortar is decent at it’s BR, it can’t handle higher tiers, especially BR V. I suggest Japan gets the Type 99 (81 mm) mortar.
This mortar could be placed at BR V, as it’s mm closely matches other countries mortars at that BR. The Russians have their 80 mm mortar, the BM-41, and USA has the M2 mortar, which is 60 mm. The current, and only, Japanese mortar is only 50 mm, and it’s shot dispersion is quite large. I understand it’s more of a grenade launcher, and that’s fine, but I think Japan needs a bit more love.
It can be introduced as a tech tree available weapon, mainly because there are no mortars at top tier. It can be used as a much more accurate, and deadly mortar system to clear any pesky tanks or fortifications, or be spammed to act as makeshift artillery.
